Letting the position coaches out, part one

I don’t know if you noticed, but Kirby took the unusual step yesterday of letting three of his assistants have some time speaking with the media.  Dell McGee took the occasion to drop one helluva comparison, when he spoke about Zeus and Cook not leaving Georgia early for the NFL draft.

Quite the bomb there.  Let’s see if it has the same effect as it did back in 2017.

It’s tantalizing to compare 2016 Nick and Sony to 2020 White and Cook. The former improved substantially from 2016 to 2017. Hmmm. Is there a Roquan Smith out there?

We, as fans, can only hope for a glimmer of 2017 in any way, shape or form! I’ll take it!

  4. From Dell’s lips to God’s ears…both Zeus and James are DGDs…and hopefully their senior year ends up being championship worthy…GATA

Yeah, that comparison is apt in that they both came back for their senior season. That’s about where it ends.

Nick and Sony returned having contributed a combined 6666 yards from scrimmage and 55 touchdowns rushing and receiving.

Zeus and Cook return having accumulated 2495 yards from scrimmage and 23 touchdowns combined.

    Oh no.

It’s the new “The Next Herschel”

Let Zeus and Cook be Zeus and Cook so we can get on with getting on.
