Not your daddy’s 404 any mo’

You know, my first thought was to mock this tweet.

I mean, UCF steals a recruit from the Jackets?  Well played, Coach Waffle House… yada, yada, yada.

But then I saw this explanation…

… and realized Tech’s recruiting has done a complete 180.  Back in the Genius’ day, it was GT that was getting commitments from recruits being sought by other schools as athletes by promising they could stay at the QB position.

I’m not saying that’s an improvement, but it’s certainly a change.  (Although if it means Collins has a better chance of signing kids who would otherwise have gone to SEC rivals, that is an improvement, I suppose.)

Oddly enough, this really might be a good fit for Gus at UCF. There aren’t any real expectations for him except to make them relevant so he might actually do well here.

Notice the score and the filter used to wash out all the red in the stadium.

Don’t worry Gus doesn’t have much luck with QB’s.He has to get a transfer from another school to have success.

I think UGA has had a little more luck with QB’s than Gus.

This kid has quick feet and a strong arm. The kid is an athlete and some size to him. He might fit in well for Gus.

Calling Malzhan, Gus reminds me when I was listening to the Hugh Durham radio show one night. A kid called in and called Durham, Hugh. Durham said, “Son, how old are you?” The kid replied, “I’m 14.” Durham then said, “ that’s Coach Durham to you.”

Gus is sleeping much better at night these days. Personally, I’m happy for him, Auburn and its fans deserve what about to happen to them.
