I think the Doors were good, and interesting, in their time, but I’m not sure their music has aged particularly well. It was always difficult to watch them live because Morrison was such a poser, and I always found it hard to believe they refused to add a bass player to fill out the sound better.
Yeah, much better studio band for me. Their live shows just seemed like a novelty act to me, wondering what outrageous thing Morrison would do next.

Totally agree with Russ they were best in the studio. Live you never knew what was going to happen.
I paid a person I won`t use the term friend for a ticket to the Miami show when Morrison was arrested. I never got the ticket completely missed the show. I did get my $5.00 back. My my how the cost of going to see live shows has gone up.

I really enjoy The Doors music. In the end Jim was just another dirty, gotdam hippie and junkie who caused pain for everyone who cared for him. Family, friends and fans. What a waste case.
