Kirby Smart is a golden god.

This is getting ridiculous.  Almost.

Christmas came early this year, Dawg fans.  Savor it.

Word is he has to take and pass classes this summer to be eligible to play this Fall. But I bet he has half a dozen tutors making sure that isn’t a problem.

Dayne WIlliams at Rivals begs to differ. He was told Gilbert is currently eligible for the fall. It’s Derion Kendrick who has work to do to be eligible, but many of us knew that already. Kendrick missed much of the spring semester because one of his kids was in the hospital.

Well whatever it is, I’d guess Kirby believes they both will be ready in the fall. Hard to believe he would burn a scholarship on a player he didn’t believe could actually contribute this season.

The 2020 hot takes about how the portal would level the recruiting playing field against Kirby are not aging well in 2021.

I was just remembering wasn’t there a piece that the Senator posted a few weeks ago about how Mullen won the transfer portal championship and Kirby was left in the dust?

The comments on the FU message boards are hilarious right now. They are freaking beside themselves.

  9. Wow! Awesome! Hadn’t Gilbert already enrolled at FU? I can’t wait to see all the moneybag comments.

Man, Kirby is on the mutha! Can’t wait to see Arik lining up at WR and Big 0 at TE with one of our burners on the other side. Monken must be drooling.

Good day to be a Dawg. Beat Clemson and keep it rolling.

Bwahahahahaha….//Maybe because I’m in my late 40s or because the cheating is so obvious or other things mean more, but as much as I still care, it’s less and less every year. It’s so blatant and obvious and unfair it’s like a terribly stacked deck and that’s before Dan’s attitude a d coaches. I’m just along for the ride and hope we stay above UT and FSU. I got the Spurrier and Meyer games to show my kids we used to be elite. They are more into pros anyway so meh. Just sad all around//

  16. Poor JT. 5 guys coming into the huddle going “I’ll be open.” Who does he choose? Seriously, we need to get real comfortable scoring 50 points. It takes practice to work through the mental focus of having big leads.

84 that’s the best laugh I’ve had all day thanks!

No need to concern yourself about this fan base needing mental focus to withstand big leads. There is no such thing as a lead big enough to stop a true Georgia fan from finding something to worry about.

  19. I feel like the difference is Pickens going down. He wasn’t coming when Pickens was healthy, now that Pickens is out, Gilbert is coming.

He seems like a one and done and I felt like all the talent kept him away when he first left LSU. Every writer and their mother was certain he was coming to Athens and then he wasn’t.

Also, the DB from Clemson could be the bigger pickup, imo. That’s certainly a position of greater need.

He’s only a sophomore, by definition he cannot be a one and done.

Is anyone surprised? I’m not. When people started talking about these two , I just assumed Kirby would get them to Athens. It’s not possible for Kirby to surprise me anymore. Kirby is like the fucking Borg, resistance is futile.
