    Word is he has to take and pass classes this summer to be eligible to play this Fall. But I bet he has half a dozen tutors making sure that isn’t a problem.

      Dayne WIlliams at Rivals begs to differ. He was told Gilbert is currently eligible for the fall. It’s Derion Kendrick who has work to do to be eligible, but many of us knew that already. Kendrick missed much of the spring semester because one of his kids was in the hospital.

        Well whatever it is, I’d guess Kirby believes they both will be ready in the fall. Hard to believe he would burn a scholarship on a player he didn’t believe could actually contribute this season.

    Bwahahahahaha….//Maybe because I’m in my late 40s or because the cheating is so obvious or other things mean more, but as much as I still care, it’s less and less every year. It’s so blatant and obvious and unfair it’s like a terribly stacked deck and that’s before Dan’s attitude a d coaches. I’m just along for the ride and hope we stay above UT and FSU. I got the Spurrier and Meyer games to show my kids we used to be elite. They are more into pros anyway so meh. Just sad all around//

    Poor JT. 5 guys coming into the huddle going “I’ll be open.” Who does he choose? Seriously, we need to get real comfortable scoring 50 points. It takes practice to work through the mental focus of having big leads.

    No need to concern yourself about this fan base needing mental focus to withstand big leads. There is no such thing as a lead big enough to stop a true Georgia fan from finding something to worry about.

    I feel like the difference is Pickens going down. He wasn’t coming when Pickens was healthy, now that Pickens is out, Gilbert is coming.

    He seems like a one and done and I felt like all the talent kept him away when he first left LSU. Every writer and their mother was certain he was coming to Athens and then he wasn’t.

    Also, the DB from Clemson could be the bigger pickup, imo. That’s certainly a position of greater need.

    Is anyone surprised? I’m not. When people started talking about these two , I just assumed Kirby would get them to Athens. It’s not possible for Kirby to surprise me anymore. Kirby is like the fucking Borg, resistance is futile.
