The team most likely to forfeit

Is there any doubt who’s the early leader in the clubhouse for that award?

I’m sure MSU’s AD is having a blast right now.

If you give Mississippi State fans the option to just take a maroon colored pill and forget every single thing that’s happened with their football program after the clock hit zero in the LSU game, I bet you that each one of them is taking it with no questions asked.

Yeah, I hope the high of hiring Leach was worth it because they aren’t gonna get that feeling again for a while.

That question is a violation of his HIPAA rights….you see, with HIPAA rights, he doesn’t have to reveal his medical records, and that also involves his vaccine records….FREEDOM

It’s amazing to me the number of people who think other people’s private medical decisions are their business, and then attach political affiliations or ideological motivations to what they, as complete idiots, think those decisions should or shouldn’t be.

I guess the right to privacy and patient-doctor privilege only applies to certain medical issues?

Well, it is the most infectious disease we’ve seen in our lifetime. I tell people I’m vaxxed everyday, all the time. Proof of certain vaccinations is REQUIRED, the unvaxxed are not a protected class.

Chuckle. Hi, my name is Spell Dawg, I’m vaxxed or vexed or something like that. It’s nice to meet you 🙂

I’m okay with forfeits as long as it’s not the Dawgs. This could be a special year for us.

With some new reports of vaccinated people still getting COVID, the number of vaccinated players may become a mute point for considering the title of ‘safe team’. I’m ready for all of this to go away. I long for normalcy again…what ever that is.

Yeah, if I’m going to be close-quarters with someone, yep I do. It’s almost always been returned with smiles and friendly conversation. There’s been a time or two when it’s been met with silence, one time in HomeDepot, for sure.

yep….can remember when schools required proof of vaccination. wouldn’t be surprised if they start doing it again when/if FDA approves the vaccine.

I had to get new vaccinations for Gainesvillle State College in 2006 even though I had a copy of my SRB showing that I had received all the needed vaccinations plus anthrax and others I don’t remember. Leach says too much dumb shit to be worried about someone using his medical records against him. He is about a year or so from making Craig James the good guy in their feud.

We look at things the wrong way for this site, brother. The opposing view is all over below with no checks. Just like Twitter. When Joe tells us what misinfo is, that info must be silenced. Not sure how this is off topic except for the whole agree with me or off with thee SOP. It is just hilarious that so many people jump all over what they’re told and believe the same people who are telling them there is no valid disagreement. I’m old enough to remember when it was Trump’s vaccine and Joe and Kamala weren’t going to take it. 🤔

I can tell you that you’re barking up the wrong tree re: the point I made. It’s not what you think it is.

And as the Senator requested, I’m leaving it be. I’m fine with that. We’re here at his pleasure, and I’ve never had an issue with that.

Then I apologize to the Senator. I get my panties in a wad with the best of them. I just feel Americans are the kings and queens of dissent and it feels like now it’s become my government is telling the truth, yours isn’t! Lol. IMO, they are all lying to you!!

Jor and Kamala said that they would take the vaccine when the medical community recommended it rather than the political community. Once that happened they took it.

I’m objective enough to tell you that Kamala was wrong when she was fearmongering on the vaccine and the right-wingers who are doing it now are wrong. We shouldn’t use the stupidity of the opposing side to defend the stupidity of our own side.

If the players are also from Mississippi his attitude about vaccines equals theirs. Sounds like the right choice for the forfeit.

Count on Leach to be the jerk. Put the class clown act aside for once and admit you got the fricken shot.

Your opponents want to know whether they are risking their and their teammates/family/friends/etc. health by playing your team. He could imply say his team is at —% and moving toward full vaccination. But noooo.

Leach’s time as a HC in the sec may be lucrative, but it’ll be short and unsuccessful. Character, or lack thereof, counts in life.

Good Grief… This has nothing to do with politics. Just get the damn shot or do not expect to be able to play. Nobody is making you do anything. You have a choice.

The data is incredibly on the side of getting the shot. But if you do not want to do it – that’s fine, then go find a place that will let you play without the shot.

Because we are going to line up every week with a fully vaccinated team, and we expect the other program to do that as well. That way, even if someone does come down with covid, the symptoms are not even remotely flu-like.

This is no longer a killer, unless you let it be one… What is so hard here?

My question is when it comes to players being ruled out from playing does it matter if they’re vaccinated? I mean, the whole team could be vaccinated and you can still have lots of positive test results. My understanding is players would still have to sit.

I don’t think the vaccinated players are subject to the same testing regimen:

Probably so but that doesn’t mean they won’t be tested. If someone in your bubble or contact tracing world tests positive you’ll get tested. This just happened with some other team in another sport that I can’t remember.

I’m probably wrong but I thought if you’d been vaccinated if you did contract covid you would be a symptomatic. I’m 60 and I took it because I’m around a lot of elderly people most of the time and I couldn’t bear knowing I’m the one that gave it to a friend that died from it. That said, I respect the choice of others to take it or not and would not avoid being around unvaccinated people.

I can speak from experience. I am fully vaccinated. However, last week I tested positive for Covid-19. I went to the doctor because I had a hacking cough I couldn’t shake and bad fatigue, as if I had thd flu. The reason I had those symptoms is because I had Covid-19.
I am 67 years old with diabetes. I view the vaccination as a success because the effect has been several days of bad fatigue. which got better, and bad cough which got better, rather than life threatening symptoms. I was contagious so I quarantined. I am glad you got the vaccine.

Sorry you got it G but likely getting vaccinated saved your life. At 67 with diabetes you are the poster boy for people who should be vaccinated. I’m about your age and also have diabetes plus had lung cancer surgery and open heart surgery a few years back. I also had a buddy who died of Covid 19. I was first in line to get the shots. Fuck the politics. For some of us it’s a life or death issue.

It is quite unusual for the health issues of college football coaches to become matters of public knowledge and concern especially as the underlying issues become more serious than a vaccine jab:

Complete privacy has always ruled the day here and I can see no reason to deviate here for reasons such as setting a healthy example for players and fans.

A hypothetical. You meet someone you are attracted to and they to you. The two of you start having unprotected sex. Turns out that partner is HIV positive and is contagious. That person knew it but didn’t tell you before y’all hooked up. You contract AIDS. You confront the person who infected you and the reply is, “Ain’t nobody’s business what the status of anyone’s health record is or what it contains.” Your answer is “Bullshit! When you can infect me with a disease the status of your health record is my life or death business.!”

We have a new contender: the coach at NC State doesn’t even care if his team is vaxxed. Guess his salary isn’t tied to the games actually being played, but with the Pack on the verge of actually being ACC competitive, you think he’d be paying a bit more attention to making sure he has a roster in the fall.

There has been a huge shift in vaccine messaging over the last 48 hours from the people that, um, Mike Leach likes to parrot. I would guess Mike will be singing a different tune in about a week or two. But really, Mike is an independent thinker and his own man intellectually.

Coach A: Brings in doctors, epidemiologists, and vaccine experts to answer any and all player questions. Lets team members and staff explain why they have or not have not opted for the vaccine, with follow-up questions and answers. Explains the consequences clearly: if you don’t get the vaccine, you risk losing playing time, and you get a swab stuck up your nose every 3 or 4 days. Lets players make their own decisions, but fully informed.

Coach B: Ducks the issue, lets players “make their own decisions’ by gathering information from God-knows-where. Too scared of the anti-vax crowd to do their job.

Both Coach A and B are highly paid employees for research universities.

Reason #962 I find Leach to be a total fraud.

People like you continue to prove the point I made. Please explain to all of us how you made the leap from what Leach said to your scenarios above. I’d love to understand the connections someone makes when trying to twist logic to fit their ends. Everything you said is supposition that takes several leaps in logic to make, not that it stopped you from making an inane ad hominem attack here.

All you’ve shown is how little you actually know. Which again proves my point.

Coach A and B are just hypotheticals, constructed to be opposites to highlight contrast.

My opinion on Leach is just my opinion.

If Leach had done any of those things, he’d have said so. Like Kirby and Nick. What he’s actually done is probably somewhere in between A and B, but the fact he’s too chicken-sit to discuss it in public suggests it’s probably closer to B.

Had I substituted Kirby for A and Leach for B, then you’d have a point, but as usual, you’re so eager for verbal combat, you read what you wanted to read and then got all indignant over something no one actually said.

        Move along, Culture Warrior.

Respectfully, Senator, staying on topic on this one is kind of difficult. “Which team is most likely to forfeit?” Of COURSE I am still voting Vandy on that question. However, your choice of quotes posted makes the willingness to share vaccination status fair game since these coaches are operating under their employment contract and covered by HIPAA. Your blog, your rules, just offering insight without incendiary comments.
