Writing checks with your mouth your defensive coordinator can’t cash

Bold talk from a Gator:

“Our points are not going to be as high this year,” Miller said, “so we plan on shutting people out this year. That’s the expectation for my defense.”

You know what Mike Tyson said about plans, my man.

same result will happen with Miller’s quote as it will with this quote from C. Gardner regarding Mr Fromm “He is throwing simple passes. I get it. Anybody can throw a slant”

Openly stating the “FU “o” ain’t gonna’ show” is the kind of team support that we all desire out of hogtown…bringing the past msu qb into the equation/comparison is just the foaming blather one expects from the FU hc…

Ton of arrogance for a team that went 3-3 after the Georgia game with the last 3 being 3 straight losses. Before Bama and Oklahoma they gave up 26 a game. Including the last two, they have up 31. And in the last two gave up over 50 a game.

Enjoy this delightful article about what UF has looked liked over Mullen’s time at UF and why 2019 was an outlier. Readers Digest Version – 2019 they played a cup cake schedule and ther fumble recovery rate was 62%, when most years most teams are around the break-even rate. Basically says that 2018 and 2020 look a whole lot more like a UF defense than 2019 and talks about explosive rates. (Loved this part – I hope we hang 50 on them by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Good luck with that plan. I predict pain and misery to again to be your teammates best friends after leaving Jacksonville.

“Our points are not going to be as high this year so we plan on losing a lot of games.” FTFY

  6. Grantham’s defenses notched three shutouts in four seasons at Georgia—against a horrible Vanderbilt team (2010), a Coastal Carolina team that hadn’t yet made the jump to FBS (2011), and the worst Auburn squad I’ll probably see in my lifetime (2012).

So if shutting out FAU or Samford this year is what turns your crank, go get ’em, kid.

Your point is basically valid but I would argue that the 2020 Auburn squad was as bad as the 2012 one.

      • The 2020 team certainly wasn’t much to look at, but they did go to a bowl game. The 2012 team went oh-fer in SEC play and needed overtime to outlast ULM. It was a dumpster fire on an epic scale.

Amazingly, Jones already has appeared in 24 career games for the Gators…”

He’s been there 3 years already…the author’s bar for “amazing” is amazingly low. Then again, if you are dead set on using the word “amazing” to describe Emory Jones’ career at UF, it’s your only opportunity.

I feel like this is the kind of shit that used to come out of our locker room during some of Richt’s leaner years. Man the tables have turned.
