Can’t catch a break.

Bad news for LSU:

I know the public position has been that he and Max Johnson were in a battle to start, but based on what I saw from both last season, Brennan was clearly the better of the two.  In any event, so much for the battle.

    That certainly helps Florida.

I was just Googling to see if this kid was related to Colt Brennan and saw where Colt Brennan just died in May of a fentanyl overdose.

I sure don’t mean to derail the thread (please don’t smite me, Senator!) but I figured maybe some of y’all didn’t know, either.

Yes saw the Colt story, very sad. He almost made it out of his bad situation. At least it seemed like he was trying.

As I understand it, Myles Brennan is related to Brennan’s restaurant family. You know, of bananas foster fame.

Fractured his humerus? WTF? Did he fall off al ladder while cleaning out the gutters? Fall off a porch while drunk? Be careful JT!

I snapped my humerus clean in half spring practice before my sophomore year. I threw a jump pass kind of a thing and was hit in mid air and turned my body in the air. My right arm got tucked behind my body and snapped clean in half upon landing on it.

  4. Max Johnson is Mark Richt’s nephew, so I was pulling for him to get the job. It’s a tough break (no pun intended) for Brennan. You have to wonder if he will be in the transfer portal by mid year if Johnson plays well early.

I thought they were both inconsistent last year (no surprise, both being so young), but most things I’d read about them this off-season said Johnson was going to take the job.

    • Brennan is a fifth-year senior.

Good point, but he hadn’t played much at all until 2020.

Oh man, really? Well damn, that blows my statement out of the water. I thought he was a regular senior with that crazy extra COVID year next year if he wanted it.

Wait, he could still medically redshirt this year and then transfer. Okay, my theory remains sound!

Has a very J.T. Daniels feel to it. If Max Johnson establishes himself, some other team will get a really good QB in 2022.

Probably Ole Miss, as he’s from Mississippi.

I am really looking forward to the LSU student body 10/16 shoe display.
