"I don't know that we have four first-rounders at wideout…I think we've been able to close the gap, if the standard was LSU and Alabama's offense." – Smart on the evolution of the #UGA passing game.

Cause for optimism?

“... Shoot, why does anybody who’s ever won something do it again? Because it’s cool. So, let’s go do it again. Let’s see if we’ve got what it takes.” -- Stetson Bennett, The Athletic, 3/22/22
I’ll believe it when I see it. Then again, it depends on the day. Being a Bulldog fan turns most of us into bi-polar, anxiety-ridden opti-pessi-mists.
Half the time we truly believe THIS IS OUR YEAR!!!
The other half of the time, we’re this guy:

Is JT Daniels the real deal? Do we have the receiving talent to take advantage of it if he is? If the answer to both of those is yes, we have a real shot at making up those additional yards per play needed to get into contender status. If either one is a no, we’ll probably still have a good year, but not what we’re all hoping for.

Kirby has been taking some lessons from Vince on how to down play some of the good news. He hasn’t quite got it yet but they are working on it.

It’s clear that Kirby knows the standard. If history is any lesson, Kirby doesn’t aspire to anything. I mean in the sense that there seems to be very little time between recognition of issue and addressing of said issue. He doesn’t waste time talking about it until maybe after the fact. While we are fretting, Kirbys on the mother I guess is what I’m saying.
