You want a piece of this?

There’s a great line from last season’s Ted Lasso, describing a player in his prime as running like he was “angry at the grass”.

Now I know what that looks like.

I think even Clubber Lang would back down when faced with this expression

I hope Zamir has a big year. The young man has worked hard to overcome injury. He’s my pick for our 1,000 yard rusher.

Should that UGA football produce many, many passing yards this season, 1000 to 1250 may not be outa’ the question, he does look pleased with your statement…

      • DIW, I think we need a 1k rusher to go along with JT. LSU had one with Edwards-Helaire, and Bama had one with Harris. At some point in a game, you have to prove you can run the ball to get that tough yard or 2 between the tackles, on the goal line, or just to punish defenses who don’t respect the box.

Dare you say, “play action”…if the UGA receivers get lb’s and secondaries to turn their hips and go, the UGA RB room will be puttin’ up some serious yardage numbers…

I’m hoping his season is something like Chubb’s last, Zamir deserves a season of accolades in the spotlight. Come to think of it, Cook is Sony to Zamir’s Chubb. Man, I want to see both these dawgs ride out like the last duo! They deserve it.

I think its fair to say that no one has more to gain/lose this year than Zamir.

Here’s to hoping that he has the sort of season that puts him in the top 10 of the nfl draft in 2022.

This is a crowded backfield. All will be extremely hungry. I feel bad for anyone in their way.

  7. Zeus is going to have a banner season…that front box won’t be nearly as loaded as it has been in the past…Monken & JT will spread defenses out more giving our backs more open running lanes. Zeus and the other big Dawgs will get to eat this season.

Just a reminder that Zeus is entering his junior year of eligibility. Of course I want him to have a terrific year. But one can always dream he returns in ‘22 (to lead us to back-to-back championships) even if the chances of him returning are low.

No one thought Najee Harris would come back and he wound up with nearly 1,500 rushing yards and over 400 receiving yards last season in fewer games than it would normally take to win a natty. Let’s hope Zeus does the same regardless of the outcome of this season.

      • I still think Najee was the MVP of last year’s Bama team. He did the dirty work in the run game, was key in the passing game, and kept Mac upright as a protector. Smith wasn’t even the best receiver on the team … my opinion was that was Waddle before his injury.

  10. I like it. But I feel like pointing out that I don’t remember Chubb, Michel or Gurley ever looking “angry at the grass” and they did just fine.

Ted Lasso has so many great lines it’s hard to keep track of them all. Rewatched the first season while at my daughter’s house and can’t believe how many lines seemed new. Think of it as the Bull Durham of football (soccer).

I’d say that young man has had it as hard as anyone that still enjoyed three hots and a cot. Y’all know the difficulties he had to overcome as a child and the expectations that were derailed by injury. That look of determination is inspiring. Bless him with good health and an injury free season.

Someone needs to ask Radi if Zamir was staring at the O Line in that pic, cause if he was, they better get their shit together. We’d like to think that the LB’s are getting that stink eye.
