This is what you call a sucker bet.
Honestly, I’d love to know what goes into the thought process that leads to a “yeah, think I’ll lay almost a quarter of a million dollars on a Tennessee football team to do something right”.

A bettor bet $220K on Tennessee to beat Bowling Green by 36 or more on Thursday night.
The Vols won big. But the final score was 38-6. 😬😬😬https://t.co/oiX3HAnUNV pic.twitter.com/8A2F0f4oIE

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

He’d have gotten more enjoyment, and less stress, from simply lighting a suitcase of cash on fire and making smores. Excellent cash management, Jethro!

Almost as dumb as betting on a Tennessee to complete a deep ball.

He can’t be that stupid if he had 220K to gamble with.

Being stupid and being a fool are 2 very different things. Jeff Bezos is extremely smart but his decision to cheat on his wife was very foolish.

I caught the 2nd quarter and bits and pieces of the 2nd half. They have a long long way to go.

I listened to the end of the 1st half and a small bit of the 3rd quarter. If the Urnge were only up on BGSU 14-6 at halftime, it’s going to be a long year in east Tennessee … not that there’s anything wrong with that.

But they scored more points than they did in a single game last year. Yeah, it was Bowling Green but they’re not cup cake material. Their QB has a good arm and has a propensity to run…which the Dawgs can overcome…but I think Heupel with his hurry up offense can make some games closer this year. I’m not worried, just saying they’re not the Pruitt VOLS.

She’s a one-dip-wonder. Her teeth are too white for dipping to be a habit. After recording that her world was spinning around and she puked her guts out. Wouldn’t matter to me. Just gives new meaning to “How ’bout them Dawgs!”

I watched the Minnesota game against aOSU. Gave them a good game but the B10 refs were horrendous. I’m still pissed at that targeting non-call that left the receiver concussed at the end of the game. Textbook targeting where the defender launched the crown of his helmet into the head/neck area of a defenseless player. Not only did they completely miss the targeting (even after review) but they took the ball away from Minnesota. The fix is in across CFB. Conferences will protect their money teams.

It was targeting…up to that point the game was enjoyable to watch

In another episode of targeting, did anyone happen to notice the mask numbers in the packed crowd at Neighland? Wonder what the ICU bed count will look like in Obknoxicator will look like in the next week or so?

Being on the fence on whether or not I’ll attend games in person, I’ll be interested to see the numbers in all these college towns after the first couple of games. While I like seeing the stadiums full, I’m still a little skittish.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Just kidding, we know.

The film Fargo never tell us exactly why Jerry Lundegaard was in so much money trouble, but, based on all we learn about the character, I imagine it was moves like this…. although, in his case, I’m assuming hockey instead of football.

I thought he was trying to scrape the funds together to buy that parking lot, and once he knew for certain that his father in law wouldn’t invest for him he went ahead with the kidnapping.
