Y’all, I kept saying in the first quarter, this is a record setting stat. He started at 755.

  4. Incredible performance from SBIV.

A shame Beck threw that pick and didn’t even try to stop the TAINT. 😦

    Defense has to be pissed.

Well, I guess this is what happens when Stetson gets some full attention from Monken.

He had a great game one more TD and he would have owned the most passing Touchdown record.

422.4… is that how many millimeters tall Bennett is?

Still not a fan of starting Bennett and playing him so much in this game because what good does it actually do? If it were Sakerlina? Sure, start Bennett. But THIS game? It’s not forward-thinking.

You need to see what you have in Beck and maybe even BVG for the future. This game with this team was the perfect opportunity to check it out. Yeah, it was awesome watch Bennett hit long pass after long pass after he missed so many last year, but it doesn’t tell you anything about t QB who actually has a future with this program.

Let’s hope Daniels is ready for Sakerlina. If not, sure, I feel good about Bennett. I feel less good about our o-line’s run-blocking ability and now Jack Podlesny. No more field goals from the left hash, because he keeps pushing them wide right.

Shit. I absolutely didn’t mean to “like” that miserable remark. I just hovered the mouse a little too high.

Nope. Reality is what it is right in front of you. What happens is staring you in the face. SBIV owned the game today. JT owns the games he plays. Beck will get there. It just does not happen behind the scenes, sit back and watch. Gawd, Stet might be an all time record holder after today and he didn’t really try.

Oh bah humbug you old goober. Everyone knows SBIV isn’t the answer, and sure, it would’ve been a good idea to get our real backups some reps, but take a moment to enjoy the absurdity of the moment. Stetsons stat line was laughable – at one point I saw 6/6 for 250 yards and 5 TDs. That’s just good fun!

What does it do? It won us the game. Last week you were convinced we’d lose to Clemson. Today you were convinced starting Stetson meant Kirby is the worst offensive mind ever who just doesn’t get it, yet we dominated today. I don’t think Kirby/Monken did Carson any favors by putting in for a series after Stetson was lighting it up. That’s quite a mountain to climb. But our receiving corp is still banged up pretty good. Starting a more experienced backup with a younger receiving corp isn’t the worst idea.

        “What does it do?”
It allowed Monken to run and exercise his offense without having to resort to whatever would have happened had the in-experienced (but potentially talented) Beck had started and gotten the bulk of the snaps. There’s more to developing an offense than getting a fresh QB ready to play. SB allowed Monken to do that. With Beck, he couldn’t have and the game would probably have morphed into a man-ball nail biter.

CKS doesn’t have the luxury of testing Beck vs starting a known commodity in Stetson. He’s focused on the win. Only fans get to play that guessing game.

      “forward thinking”?….

Kinda crazy to think of your next game before you start the current one. That will get you beat, you play the best/most ready players.

Kirby made the right decision, not sure how anyone could disagree with that…..without some sort of agenda that is.

    • To me the future is now. This is our best chance in several years to reach our goal of a NC.Spring practice is for the future. I get game experience but only when your game ready.

    Great for SB.
But I hope we’re not going to see a lot of people getting down on Beck. The kid was just kind of shell shocked out there. Give him time.
    I think he’ll come around.

I think we are seeing the Pittman effect. RTDB. Dude knows how to do it. Good on him, he is a treasure.

I think we are missing the Pittman effect. Dude knows how to consistently RTDB. Matt Luke I’m not so sure. Feels like centuries since one of our RBs broke off a big run for a TD, but maybe we were just spoiled with generational talent in Chubb/Michel/Swift.

  13. The mailman commeth (a well earned, well deserved game…Stetson is a DGD) I just wish we would start throwing to our tight ends…hopefully your sarcasm meters are going off

This offense is building confidence…and once we’re healed up and hitting on all cylinders, we will be consistently putting up 50+ points per game.

Even Beck was hitting a groove. It’s a Great night to be a Georgia Bulldog

Last time I was in Fayetteville I was rigging in a CT and it was cold as hell, went to a basketball game when Robinson was the coach for them. It was a great game, as he went. The snake Patrino was the ball coach, good times. I remember going to the place as a redcoat in the late ‘80s. Great grilled chicken, horrible concrete stands, the bassoon prof was an alum and his comb over was in full force. Damn, too many memories. Still, Fayetteville is a damn nice spot if you want to get away from the world. Don’t ask about the one strip bar that probably isn’t there anymore……

“Ahhhh… the mailman. He’s just himself. He’s someone that’s always going to come in and work with excitement. He walks around the locker room singing. His spirit is always up, no matter what. Everything that he’s been through, he’s still one of those players that’s going to show up and work hard every day.” Trayvon Walker post game

Stetson is a god. Life would be very different for UGA fans if he hadn’t been around: from his 2017 scout team Baker Mayfield simulation to his ability to win most games in 2020 when we would have been absolutely f*cked without him to what he did today. MVP of the Kirby era. Change my mind.

Solid win today for all three phases of the game. Sadly, today we learned that the Dawgs have zero QBs in their system. Beck is not the guy, we know what Bennett is, and now we know what Daniels is. This season is over boys…go home and save your money. Look for losses to Auburn, Florida and possibly Kentucky. It is true, Kirby is Muschamp with better talent. Oh, I am not ready to move on from Kirby. The guy knows defensive talent and can coach that side of the ball. He has zero clue of what it takes to win on offense in this day and age, and starting Bennett proves that. This was his Bauta moment and things will being to go down hill from here. Our OL is a wreck as well.

When SBIV was hitting open guys in stride yesterday my mind rolled back to FU 2020. Without his shoulder injury I still say Georgia wins that game and the East.
That’s his hard ceiling not kidding myself. He’s too short and doesn’t have the physical tools in him to win at the highest level coaching can’t fix that.

I love his work ethic, effort, will to win and true joy on his face when one of his teammates does something great. That is a DGD.

It was great fun for a non conference game. I really enjoyed the stupid stuff printed about Kirby pregame. Those hot takes were slaughtered quickly. My advice is have some fun Georgia getting the national recognition as clearly one of the two best teams in the land. We still have a long season to go enjoy every minute you can and stop looking for land mines. That’s Kirby’s job.

Back to reality hopefully JT gets healthy having a big day next week.

I’ll admit I wasn’t excited to hear Bennett would play but I’m damn glad he did. Beck didn’t do himself any favors with his play and lack of effort on the pick 6. It’s too bad he still isn’t ready.

Ultimately, its still JTD’s team of course. It is good to see that SB is still a very viable alternative however.
