Our first nooner of the season

Fine by me.  Get it out of the way early, so I have the rest of the day for whatever.

Guess I’ll be following that one on my phone whilst wandering the streets of Savannah with my bride.

11am in Nashville? Sounds like an excellent opportunity for the tens of thousands of Dawg fans who will make this trip to get in a full day in a great city after watching the Dawgs take care of business. Drink a lot of good beer, eat a lot of good food, and maybe take in some live music.

Best roadtrip in the SEC. When we go to pods and Vandy gets added to the Bammer-Barner-Hillbilly Pod, we’re going to miss it every year.

I always liked going to Ole Miss and KY more, especially when the ponies were running at Keeneland.

        PTC,
Those are two of my favorite road trips too.

PTC, I agree on Kentucky when it is in October. No finer road trip in the SEC. Go up Thursday, see the ponies run on Friday after doing a morning tasting at Woodford Reserve or somewhere similar, and enjoy the game on Saturday. Three nights in a great college town.

Incidentally, last time in Oxford in 2016 it was hotter than six hells. We were in The Grove and it was misery. Dusty, hot, and too crowded. I told my wife we were never going back again. Of course, the game sucked too.

That early game is never fun…it might be 12 thirty, one o’clock before UGA football gets cranked up…

      • Other than the Ole Miss game in 2016, we’ve been pretty darn good at noon (11 a.m. central) recently as a road team. It’s been the home games (South Carolina 2019, in particular) where we’ve played poorly with the early start.

Corch, I see your point, but I gotta tell ya’ it’s tough to get into the proper “spirit” that early when you’re there. Tailgate food is kinda complicated then too!

Let the non-stop beating begin at noon and keep going until the clock runs out. My sincerest hope is that the Admiral does not get blown.

Good. I don’t think I need a beer to calm my nerves for that one.

  7. Sigh…the headline made my mind harken back to some glory days

But focusing on football, as ol Bulldawg Bill put it last week, I hope we wail unmercifully on those commiewhores.

Darn. My only Grandson’s first birthday party is September 25th from 11:00 to 1:30. That is the worst possible start time for me. I am not missing my Grandson’s party.

My daughter was born in the fall. I learned very early to take charge of the birthday planning (because I’m such a good dad, of course). I also managed to schedule her parties on Sundays for the convenience of traveling family. 😉 Never missed a game after the first party and she was almost grown/out of the house before anyone put it all together.

Works for me. I fully expect this game to take 8 hours anyway because we’re still throwing in the 4th, up 147-3.

The admiral-blowers done f’d up last year.

I will say this about the Vandy game. If Kirby wants to hang a couple of FU TDs on even if we are up 40 or more, go for it.
