Your (non-Dawg) game day post

Today’s slate of games:

Not exactly brimming with drama, but there are certainly a few games worth watching:  Notre Dame-Wisconsin and Texas A&M-Arkansas both involved showdowns between ranked teams; LSU-MSU will let us gauge how bad Bo Pelini was last year; Kentucky-South Carolina is one of those measuring stick games; and North Carolina-Georgia Tech may be good for a chuckle or two.

Then, there’s the Meteor Game.  Speaking of chuckles.

What’s on your agenda today?

  1. D as in Dawg

Go Dawgs, Arky, and Rocky Top. That is all.

Sorry. Replace Rocky Top with BO. That sounds better. And Go USCe. I want to feel even better about last week.

So in a meeting yesterday, a lady asked that we vote for her son for Allstate Good Hands Player. He plays for UK. I thought, that’s nice. Let’s go vote for him. When I got to the page, I saw Nakobe Dean is in the running. I voted for Nakobe and then smiled and nodded at the rest of the room. That’s D as in Dawg, not D as in Decent. 😂

Our best hope for Tennessee is that give everyone some extra film on real football plays before it’s 52-7.

I’m with ya, ee. This is Ryder Cup Saturday. With the US jumping out to a “ass whupin” on the euros, I gotta watch. A buddy and I were in Paris in’19 for that debacle and we (American fans) took a lot of abuse from the eruotrash so this is must see tv.

I’m rooting for the giant sinkhole in Gainesville.

After the Admiral’s fleet becomes a dive spot. I’ll be rooting for the Pit Boss to serve some humble pie to A&M. After 9 straight wins over the hogs it’s time to remind Aggies wins are earned not awarded. No comment on SEC officiating it’s too early to start drinking.

I think we will see Teq flex its muscle to day against UNC. Hey, Senator, what’s your position on UNCvGT in any sporting event? Is that your ultimate meteor game?

Outside the Georgia game, I’ll be in the workshop most if the day. For the first time in my life, I am pulling for a particular team in the Meteor Game. If a Tennessee win quiets all the man crush talk around Dan Mullen, then let’s go Vols.

I predict one shocking loss today among Oklahoma, Michigan, or Florida.

I’ll pull for Rutgers. I’d love to see Arky, Wake Forest, and Rutgers all 4-0 for what I assume is the first time ever.

For that matter, it’s possible that these teams are 4-0 after today (raise your hand if you put money on it):

      Arkansas
      Wake Forest
      Rutgers
      Kentucky
      Kansas State
      Maryland
      Baylor
      Iowa
      Army
      Texas Tech
      Boston College

That’s the kind of chaos I like in a college football season.

What a shitty slate of games. This is the downside of a few teams dominating. All the other games start to lose any luster. Thank gawd we’re one of the dominant teams at least (knock on wood).

Thought the afternoon games delivered luckily. Couldn’t keep up with 2 tv’s and a laptop for all the drama from that time slot. Hope evening games keep up the trend. Arky @ Dawgs, ole miss v bama & Cincy v ND should be fun headliners on next week’s slate.

The Iron Skillet is up for grabs in Ft Worth today. SMU been talking some serious shit all week. Frogs are 10 pt favs. This game will be tight, high scoring & fun to watch.

Think Wisconsin ends the ND fantasy that they’re actually a competitive team with the big boys.

I just pressure washed the wheel wells and cleaned the wheels really well on my car. Got the pine straw off the driveway.

Now I’m about to watch our game and all the other same games y’all will probably watch.

Also, in celebration of the weather, gonna break out the big chili pot and fill it up with the season’s first chili.

Watching Arky and TAMU. Arky’ll put up a fight, but the Dawgs are gonna win big. If Tykee and DW0 are ready to go, watch out.

Auburn is losing (down 5) in the fourth. Refs starting to help them out…but the most telling thing about Auburn is the way they strut around and act like they’re the stuff when they make the occasional play…against Ga. State.
Losing to Ga. State and struttin’ their stuff. That’s the Barners.

Nerds beating the Tarholes. I guess it will be fun to fluff the nerds a little before we put a Vandy style beating on them.
