TFW you struggle to come up with an antidote to rat poison

This ranks right up there with Dooley talking about the opposing long snappah.

On playing to a standard, if there was anything in the first quarter that wasn’t up to the standard…
“Kickoffs, to be honest, we didn’t kick it off like my expectation is. Maybe if we kick it out of the end zone, we don’t get a turnover, so maybe (Jake) Camarda’s a lot smarter than me because we got a fumble off of the kickoff that wasn’t a touchback. I guess I need to commend him for that because he was thinking way ahead. I was a little upset it wasn’t out of the end zone, but he knew more than I knew and that ended up turning into seven points.”

That’s as close as Smart will ever get to babbling.  Maybe next time he should stick to “Dunno.  I’ll have to check the game tape”.

  1. The kickoffs and punts did leave a bit to be desired. I’m wondering if Camarda was told by Muschamp to gear back on kickoffs because they knew he was going to be doing it a lot.

Lol. Translation, coach searching for a teachable moment to ground his guys: “I got nothing.”

  4. This team needs a real challenge before the rat poison sets in and we go to Jacksonville. Fortunately, a challenge may be in Athens this Saturday.

The games leading up to Florida should benefit them as long as injuries don’t start piling up. All three are physical in a way nobody but Clemson’s defense has been, and none of them are actually good enough to win the game or come particularly close.

The Dawgs face their toughest opponents of the season at practice.

Sure, but the intensity isn’t the same, and you never know how the team will respond to getting hit in the mouth live until it happens. And for the defense especially, they haven’t faced an offensive line that poses any kind of challenge yet.

I know last year the Kentucky game left a lot of the starting defense hurting going into Jacksonville. Staying healthy these next four games is my biggest concern.

Kirby needs to get this fixed quick. Tech is building a monster in the 404.

Gatriguy was “That Guy” who called Camarda out yesterday at 3:14. Jake needs to get his shit together before noon Saturday. In his defense, he has been damn good this season.

Was TAMU’s LT one of the freshman starting b/c the guy ahead of him got injured? Either way, not worried about the OL’s pass pro. Broderick Jones played well vs. Vandy. He and Mims are gaining confidence. Ditto Willock. Losing Rat was big, but the OL is only gonna get buttah. Arky better enjoy the W ’cause they got an L coming on Saturday and it ain’t gonna be pretty.

There are several players on our roster who are pretty hard to criticize. Camarda is one of them. He had a sub par game. Don’t be such a smart ass Kirby.

I have a screaming sinus headache but damn if it isn’t a great day to be a Georgia Bulldog.

Damn right, Rob. It’s great to be a Georgia Bulldog!

When I was 9 years old I thought my brain was rattling around in my skull with every hit on my helmet at football practice. I suffered another thirty years before Horndog Hans offered a Claritin. I don’t know what I’m allergic to, but as I’ve grown older I find the symptoms occur more frequently. Consuming local honey may help, but Zyrtec provides relief.

RR, I keep bees and can tell you the Zyrtec is waaaay better. (sting don’t do a damn thing for my arthritis either).

Local wildflower at that. Because if you only eat the best honey there is, all your going to be immune to is Tupelo pollen. 😁

Love me some Tupelo honey, Devil Dawg. At Albertson’s grocery store in Hogtown, Florida I put an $8 one lb jar of Tupelo honey in my cart and moseyed on down the aisle. There was a two and a half lb jar labeled simply HONEY for $8 also. Looked like Tupelo so I took a no risk chance. To my delight it was Tupelo honey.
I reckon it was excess that was put out for sale but not to compete with the brand name. Little pleasures and victories, man. I’m sure you know what I mean.

A less sensitive person than me might say all those shots to the head as a 9 yo might splain a few things. But seriously, have you ever paid a visit to an allergist? I’ve never had allergy problems but they have helped several friends of mine.

And yes, it’s great to be a Georgia Bulldog!

Allergy shots are working for my wife. It’s allowed her to take less Zyrtec.

I appreciate the advice, Gurkhadawg. I know folks that require an allergist; however, over-the-counter meds work fine for my sniveling, whiny ass for now.
As far as the shots to the head? Too many concussions to count. More than twenty and less than fifty. Football, boxing, martial arts, brawling and Yog Sothoth knows what else. Symptoms began to manifest enough that I relinquished my chosen occupation. I’m doing just fine. No one else seemed to notice.

Well damn Ranger, I didn’t mean to make light of a real medical issue. You have my sincere apology. I’ve had a few concussions myself. No symptoms so far. Both knees, both ankles and one shoulder are pretty much shot. We all have to adjust our physical activity to accommodate the ravages of time and our sometimes questionable choices. But what the hell are ya gonna do?

Aww shit, GD, no offense taken and no apology necessary. I’m not even sure what I have is a condition other than the actual ravages of time. I’ve been working too many hours for too damn long and my profession doesn’t lend itself to even small mistakes. YOU know what I mean.
It’s a helluva thing being self-employed as Rigger92 stated earlier. When I was a corporate Man I had plenty of paid time off, traveled to fishing and diving destinations in exotic places, met interesting people and wasn’t expected to kill them like my previous job.
Working for myself? I was a one man band. Diligence was rewarded with client loyalty. But it was time to go. Not a decision I made lightly.

Ranger Russ, that’s not all that happens as you grow older. Get ready for shit to happen that you don’t see coming! As my dad use to tell me, “Getting old ain’t for sissies.” He made it to 94. I hope you find relief. Allergies suck!

SD, my dad told me the same thing and they were correct. I’m not aging gracefully and will not be graceful when the Dawgs win the National Championship. I envision drunk, mean and obnoxious as the first order of business when the clock hits 00:00

I suspect you will have LOTS of company in that endeavor. First on the list to feel the wrath will be anything wearing URNGE and from there it will just be at random.

The best antidote for Rat Poison for next week would be to show them the tapes of the Hogs winning the Texas State Title. UGA SHOULD win the game, but Arkansas is certainly more then capable of handing them their ass if they don’t play to their potential.

Yeah their win over Texas looks a lot better after Texas stomped previously unbeaten Texas Tech 70-35. I’m looking for a war against Arkansas this week. We should win, but I don’t think it will be easy.
