I saw them a couple of times. Once in Bloomington, Il in 1972 the night that the A’s won the world series. They wouldn’t play until they game ended and then they tore the house down when Oakland won! The second time it was just the Commander at Chip’s Bar and Grill in Winder. He was hilarious and was actively seeking someone to burn one with him at the intermission. If you want to learn more about this incredible band that was originally from Ann Arbor pic up “Star-Making Machinery: Inside the Business of Rock and Roll”. They wouldn’t sell out and they never quite made it. . . unlike the frickin eagles!!!
