Of all the quarterbacks Georgia’s faced, he’s certainly one of them.

Talk about damning with faint praise:

Bo Nix may be the best quarterback No. 2 Georgia faces this season. That’s no slight to No. 19 Auburn’s signal caller, who has endured an infamous roller-meet-coaster career. It’s almost an indictment of the game in 2021.

Dodd does highlight one surprising stat — Nix is one of two SEC quarterbacks yet to throw an interception this season.  Considering the amount of freelancing he does, that’s almost miraculous.

  3. D as in Dawg

Defense will be ready. The intrigue lies in what and how the offense does. I assume Bennett is going. He has done an admirable job. I trust be can lead us to victory or at least hand it off to victory. If it’s close, that’s where I worry he’ll push it and have his weekly brain fart. So let’s don’t allow it to be close. My advice is free, peeps. That’s the crazy part.

  4. I know it’s the flavor of the past 5 years to kvetch about “oh, Georgia’s not throwing the ball enough on offense” and “Georgia’s defense won’t be challenged until Alabama”, etc., but it gets so old.

As that post earlier this week said about Arkansas’s passing offense, they were #17 before they faced Georgia. And why should Georgia do anything but smother the game conservatively after two first quarters when the combined score was 56-0?

If Tony Barnhart is Mr. CW, Dodds is Mr. Lazy Narrative.

    Who’s this Dudd??
The only Dudd I know is that two time quitter the north ave. trade school named their stadium after…
Until Mark Richt came along and planted the Oval G there.

You obviously didn’t know Dodd…one of the most respected and knowledgeable of any coach in SEC history. If you must find someone to cast stones at..at least show some knowledge and a little class!

Dodd’s narrative is lazy – “The Bulldogs have faced — in order — passing offenses ranked 116th (Clemson), 85th (UAB), 89th (South Carolina), 94th (Vanderbilt) and 98th (Arkansas)” – i.e., Georgia hasn’t played anybody. He shows UGA’s opponents’ rankings AFTER having been wrecked by the Dawgs, not their passing rankings before. Obviously, there were no stats for Clemson in Week 1. Comparing apples and oranges.

barner pajama boy bo may have not any interceptions of record for one official reason…(on 4 occasions) the opposition db’s couldn’t catch those interceptions, 1 (outright) interception was reversed due to opposition d line was offsides or what ever it’s called now…#AUBURN SUCKS!…

Since Texas wears orange, it’ll be very easy to hate them with the passion of the other orange wearing idiots once they are firmly in the SEC. Living here amongst their over sized egos has given me a really good head start.

Dennis Dodd is either dishonest (in that he knows he factored in the post-Georgia game stats for each team, knowing that is bolsters the Dawgs’ stats more than it diminishes the opponents stats but not acknowledging it) or he’s incompetent as a sports writer.
Which is it Dennis? Are you a disingenuous dawgrader or just in over your head? (I suppose it could be both, like Danny Kanell).

Danny is so obvious, that his own co-host (Dusty Dvoracek) and other show host (Barrett Sallee and Andy Stapleton) have call him out on it. It’s not just UGA fans that are noticing it now.
