“There’s no shame in losing to Kentucky.”

Shot.

I tried to warn you doggone Dawgs after last year’s game, but you wouldn’t listen.

You only laughed at me and sent me nasty tweets and emails, saying I was a partisan, provincial Gator hack and a blind, biased Dan Mullen flack.

Before the most monumental Georgia-Florida game in years, let us take a moment to revisit what I wrote after Mullen’s Gators were manhandled 36-17 by coach Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs in Mullen’s inaugural Cocktail Party last year.

“Enjoy this, Georgia,” I wrote. “Savor this second consecutive victory over the Florida Gators. Relish your clear superiority over your rivals during Saturday’s 36-17 victory in the World’s Largest Outdoor Talent Discrepancy Party. Every Dog has its day. But your Dog days aren’t going to last as long as you once thought. In less than a season, new Gator coach Dan Mullen has at least put some chomp back in this rivalry after taking over a doomed, done-for, dysfunctional program that completely quit on former coach Jim McElwain during last year’s 42-7 loss to the Bulldogs.

“Cherish the 19-point victory, Georgia. Embrace it. Appreciate it. With Dan the Man in charge, you’re not going to be Dogging the Gators like this for very much longer.”

Chaser.

It’s also true Florida has been a notch below Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma in recent years, but other than Bama, Georgia, Clemson, Oklahoma and Ohio State, has anybody else really been better than the Gators since Mullen took over?

I wasn’t expecting an “aside from that, what have the Romans ever done for us?” defense of Dan Mullen.

So get off Dan Mullen’s case, Gator Nation.

He’s built a really good football program.

If you don’t think that’s good enough, then go talk to fans at Florida State and Miami.

Hard to believe, but Mike Bianchi finally wrote a column I can endorse.  Well played, sir.

That’s it! I’ve seen enough. I’m going down to the cfb hall of fame right now and demanding that Mullen be enshrined immediately.

And there should be a statue of Mullen in Bianchi’s front yard, so the entire neighborhood can bask in the magical greatness.

That statue should be posed with Mullen bent over and his ass sticking up in the air so the ultimate Mullen brown noser can start each day with a smile. Bianchi can practice going out to kiss Mullen’s ass every morning with out actually leaving with shit all over the tip of his nose.

  4. Note that even in his chest-puffing 2019 column, Bianchi still picked Georgia to beat the Gators. Way to have the courage of your convictions there, Mikey.

But as we can see from his most recent piece, he’s still gainfully employed on the Florida athletics payroll.

  6. For a guy that always saw right through Corch’s phony ass, Bianchi sure do love him some Cousin Eddie. Quit reading MB when Corch slithered away. I figured Mikey’s work was done. This doesn’t make me want to take it up again anytime soon.

  8. That’s a spicy meatball you gotta eat there Mikey boy…too bad it’s made up of crow…how many years (looks like going back to 2019 at least) will they over look all of Mullen’s shortcomings? He’s not been elite at FU, it’s that simple…whether it be wins/losses, championships, recruiting, or roster management. But you do ditch lizard homer…hope you choke on your own bullshit, some of us see right through it.

    Bianchi is fantasizing.

“If Mullen can beat Smart with lesser talent, what happens when he starts recruiting similar talent? And you have to believe he will. He’s too personable and too engaging not to be a great recruiter.”

I haven’t seen any sign of him being a great recruiter – as far as being personable he acts like a dork – and turns folks off.

      1) IF is an awful big word
      2) Does he think that the area around Lake Oconee is going to all of a
sudden be filled with 5 star D1 talent
      3) Personable and engaging? Even a lot of the #FTMF crowd thinks he is
aloof and weird but they overlook it because he is an “offensive genius”

Isn’t he the guy that got banished to section 37F? If so, he’s going full tilt to make sure Dopey Dan loves him.

‘If you don’t think that’s good enough, then go talk to fans at Florida State and Miami.’- weak.

With those programs being down, Mullet should be DOMINATING the state of Florida, and if you do that, you dominate the entire country in regards to college football. And he’s doing NOT that by a large margin.
