“How To Beat a No. 1 Team”

Per somebody who goes by the handle “Bryan the Intern” over at a Kentucky site, there are just two things you need to do.  One, win the turnover battle and two, throw the ball effectively.

That should be no problem for a Kentucky team that’s minus-8 in turnover margin and is averaging fewer than 130 passing yards per game against SEC opposition, amirite?

I just hope UK is ready for next week when they say we still haven’t played nobody.

I mean, is anyone suprised that the intern was told to write this piece? No one else there could do it with a straight face! Hah!

    GO DAWGS!!!

I don’t see how this game is close. Sure, we could just not show up I guess. But we are more talented and deep in every position than UK. We play like we have been playing and this game isn’t even close at the half.

TB: If UK wants to come out of here with a win, they’ll need to score more points than UGA. Over to Bryan the Intern for more in-depth analysis…

    • BryantheIntern: Thanks TB, I just found out that my internship has come to an unexpected end and I am excited to be returning to GaTech to continue my studies in exoplanetary Star Wars cultural studies. Back to you TB!

Every time somebody says it all comes down to the turnover battle, a part of me dies.

Well there is another possibility. Had a dream last night (not a lie) where I was watching the game with some friends and all the Georgia players were female. 😳

I do think teams are going to attack UGA with the deep ball more and more (especially with the depth issue)…. Hope for a catch or interference. It’s the only realistic way to get yards in chunks.

If that starts to happen expect the DAWGS to dial up the blitz packages. You need time to get deep and Kirby and Lanning will not let that happen on a regular basis. At present the QB has no time with only 4 rushing so turn on the blitz and that time will drop to almost zero. The QB will have to get it out of his hands almost as soon as he catches it.

How do the cats beat the number 1 team in the country? They actually only need to do one thing, score more points than the dawgs. Good luck with that boys.

  13. The Adam Anderson Quote of the Day nails it. Cats will try to win traditionally but Danny Boy will dial-up every gimmick they have.

…against mediocre, coaches on lifesupport, teams. We good.

  15. Today is once again about taking care of our business. If we do that, the Cats really don’t have much of a chance.

Reminds me of the old Steve Martin stand-up joke about how to make s million dollars and pay no taxes on it: ” First. make a million dollars. Second, don’t send in any tax payments. Brilliant!”
