Montana ♥️… Monken?

But wait… there’s more ($$)!

We all know No. 1 Georgia’s defense is otherworldly, but its offense is pretty darn good, too. Offensive coordinator Jeff Monken, whose offense averaged 8.9 yards per play in Saturday’s 30-13 rout of No. 11 Kentucky, is a creative play caller, and it’s clear he’s having fun utilizing stud tight end Brock Bowers. The breakout freshman had five catches for 101 yards and two TDs Saturday, and the second TD was particularly nifty. On a play-action, Bowers kept run-blocking for a full two seconds before suddenly releasing and streaking downfield for a wide-open 20-yard catch.

It’s hard keeping your Monkens straight, but at least he’s trying.

Ahem. I think this would be a very different offense under Jeff Monken. So glad we have TODD.

  2. D as in Dawg

One of the best throws I’ve seen all year!! Honestly, Monken has made SBIV a really good QB. It’s not just the players that Kirby recruits so well.

  3. Not to get too into semantics, but it is the play DESIGNS that are underrated–the play calls are the fun part after you put all the work in. Its been a while since I saw us scheme so many people open–especially the TEs

Yes, even last year I could suddenly see players running open after being told all 2019 we had the wrong players. Execution wasn’t quite there given no spring practice and COVID, but this year is paying off nicely.

I would have loved hearing Keith Jackson call some of the plays our tight ends have made – someone joked he never met a tight end he didn’t like.

Monken is obviously enjoying digging into his toolbox as are Dawg fans the world over.

Tight ends have gone from an obligatory couple of tosses to keep them motivated while blocking to full-on cheat code.

Underrated silver lining to Pickens being out.

Best thing about it is Monken isn’t predictable. Bowers hadn’t been featured for the past couple of games after breaking out early. Instead, he went to McConkey. And then yesterday is was Bowers and Mitchell. Plus the Big 0 is getting folded back into the plan. Lots of crayons in Monken’s box.

Mandel is an idiot. Even when he says something nice about Georgia (which is rare) he f*cks it up. How can this moron have a job in national media? Wait…it’s a national media job requirement to be a moron? Oh, now I understand.

By TE’s…..at Georgia!! I’m starting to believe that all the talk this year wasn’t just the same old bs we’ve heard forever. We are actually utilizing the TE position as more than just a 3rd tackle. Gotta say I love this team for so many reasons!

I just hope and pray that FL doesn’t try to replace their current idiot with Todd Monken.

How much would Howie Mandel have to enjoy Monken’s work to get his name right? JOURNALISM FOR THE WINN, MUCHACHOS! 🙂
