All the game day there is.

No Georgia game today, so we’ll all have to make do with this:

It could be worse, you know, like no college football at all.  Besides, there are some games worth watching there:

  • I’ll keep an eye on Oklahoma State and Iowa State to see how well the Cowboys’ defense holds up against a decent, if not elite, offense.
  • LSU-Ole Miss?  Sure, I’ll watch that.  It’s got “any given Saturday” written all over it.
  • If you’re wondering how much trouble UT’s new offense might give the Dawgs in a few weeks, tonight’s game at Alabama could hold a clue.
  • I haven’t had the pleasure of watching Georgia Tech live this season, so I’ll probably check in to see how Coach 404’s squad handles Virginia.

What’s on your list?

Lots to flip among, but not much to plan a watch party around. Tennessee-Alabama is the one for Dawg fans to keep an eye on.

As always, thank you Senator. I can’t wait for the vowels and tide pod game!

I hope Wake Forest gets their asses kicked by Army so we can put that fraudulence to rest. Other than that, I’ll join in on the Tech game if UVA is winning…yes, watching Tech lose is always a tasty dish.

You’re mighty fast and loose with “pleasure” there, Senator. Piss on tech. I’ll watch ’em as my hobby today is on a work bench in front of the tube.

It’s a weak schedule this weekend. Good weekend to do other Fall festivities and catch up on the to-do list.

Another undefeated team or 2 should lose today. I’ll bank on okl state.

I know Oklahoma won’t lose to KS today but KS is shredding them on their first drive. OK still can’t tackle, get off blocks, and they just got a penalty too. Sloppy

First quarter over, KS is 4/4 on third down, TOP over 12 minutes, up 7-0 and knocking on the door to start the second.

  10. Did everyone here realize that Cincinnati “controlled” the Dawgs in last season’s Sugar Bowl? That’s what the loon in the booth said about 5 minutes into the game against Navy. It never ends….

My opinion is that announcers feel like they have to be talking the whole time or they’re not doing their job. That leads them to constantly saying stupid shit.

Lots of chores to catch up on today. May watch the Braves tonight but gotta admit it’s looking like the same movie I saw last year. I didn’t like the ending.

I used to watch or listen to every Braves game possible. No matter where I was in the free world TBS was on. They mostly sucked but I loved the game. I simply don’t care for MLB now.

The strike in ‘94 killed major-league baseball for me.

A lot of fans never returned after 1994. By the way, in 1994 the players did not go on strike. The owners decided to lock them out because the owners and the Players Association had not agreed on a basic operating agreement. The players wanted to continue playing while negotiating. The owners decided to shut down the season hoping that when the players started missing paychecks they would cave. The owners called it a strike so fans would blame the players and not the owners.
The loxkout ended when federal court ruled that the lockout was a violation of Federal labor law and ordered the owners to resume playing

This Oklahoma team is NO WAY making it to the CFP. Losing 10-0 at halftime…to KANSAS. Shut out for a half by one of the 2-3 worst teams in D1.

I’m torn about Navy beating Cincinnati. I half want them in the playoffs against us so they can see what a motivated team looks like. We’d beat them by 21 this time.

And it’s always funny to see OU lose, but losing to Kansas? Damn, that’s bad.

I know neither of those games will play out like I said but I see the scores now and I’m laughing.

For how weak the slate of games is this week, lots of unbeatens playing awfully close with garbage teams. Could be an interesting Saturday…

And for the record, I want every unbeaten to win out. The more no-loss teams at the end of the season, the more likely Bama gets left out. And I don’t want to play any team twice, much less Bama.

There is no way if Georgia beats Alabama in the SEC championship that Alabama is get in with your losses. No way. More unbeatens just means if Georgia loses to Alabama in the SEC championship less likely Georgia gets in.

Kansas keeping it close vs. OU with 5 minutes and change in the fourth. Both teams suck. Jayhawks just had the worst 2-pt. attempt I’ve ever seen.

Just finished a year long project, putting in a monster terrace looking over the lake, with a greenhouse and “she-shed”. It looks great, lots of stone and block work. I finished the raised beds today. Tomorrow I’ll be on the big orange tractor when the sun comes up, I’ve got about 10 acres to mow before I start planting wheat for next year’s dove shoot. With any luck I’ll push some rabbit up and have a few for fricasse later on.

Great seeing Penn State go down today. I wonder if the Penn State quarterback still feels they are the best team in the country? The PSU people around where I live were getting obnoxious before their loss to Iowa last week.

No Dawgs, so it’s a good weekend to hunt/fish or catch up on chores. Hunted yesterday. Washed my boat today in anticipation of the late Fall striper bite after Clark Hill turns over. Just sitting down now and would love for Rocky Top to shock the world tonight.

    Just a reminder:

Teams against whom LSU ran for less than 100 yards: UCLA, Central Michigan, Mississippi State, Auburn and Ole Miss

Teams against whom LSU ran for over 300 yards: Florida

Clemson could end up short of wins to get bowl eligible. UConn is a win but there’s nothing sure after that. Wake will kill them, FSU (who knows), Louisville is probably favored and SoCar is not automatic. My how the pious have fallen.

How does a linebacker end up on Alabama’s fastest receiver with no safety help in the middle of the field?

Alabama has pulled away but they looked very underwhelming until well into the third quarter. The score looks like they have whipped Tennessee’s ass and I guess they kind of have but Tennessee was hanging around until very recently.

I’m glad Alabama finally put Tennessee away. All we need is for those hillbillies to be sporting a W against Bama around. ALSO, I’d rather play Alabama in the SECCG than Ole’ Miss. That offense is scary and their defense is starting to gel. Now I have to pull for Bama in the Iron Bowl.
(as a side note…does any other coach show his ass on the sideline better than Nick Saban? He makes Boom look like Mr. Rogers).

There is something wrong with Nick Saban. How, after all the success he’s had, can he still muster up any outrage over any of this, and still even want to do it? I know he gets praised for it but really and truly it’s weird.
