Mama, I got them cosmic 6-day hold blues again.

Tough luck if you need to make plans now for Athens on November 6.

Mizzou at seven?  Yecch.

Mizzou at 7pm is the best case scenario here! Night games in Athens are always a lot of fun. I prefer them to the 3:30 slot. I had to miss the Sakerlina game due to unforeseen circumstances, so if they don’t do this game at 7, that means I won’t have been to any game this season where I can actually “Light Up Sanford.”

What time is the UT game going to be?????

As long as it’s not a Noon start, I’m fine with this. Just glad it’s in Athens so I have no chance of actually going to the game this year. (I live just down the road from Columbia, MO.)

I cannot wait to see Bama curb stomp LSU. Send Stupid Ed out the door with a giant bruise on his ass. “THIS IS OUR HOUSE FOR NOW ON”. 330 slot would be appreciated.

I don’t see any scenario where we’re not playing at noon. I’m surprised we got roped into their indecision. To me it comes down to the Auburn/Ole Miss game. If Auburn wins than A&M and Auburn are at 3:30, we’re at noon and Bama/LSU is 7pm. If Auburn loses Bama/LSU is the 3:30 game, we’re at noon, and A&M/Auburn is 7. Although ESPN’s newfound love of that noon timeslot may change how they look at it.

Hard to fathom a combination of events that doesn’t land us in the Noon slot. A&M vs. Aubie at worst will be a battle of teams with two conference losses and each with a road to win the division. And what powers that be would decide to put Bama and LSU at 11am local time.

Honoring CMR – I hope it’s the 7PM start – would love to see the crowd really get into that.

If I read it correctly (and likely didn’t) – I thought it was 3:30 or 7PM – no?

That’s what I’m screaming. There are literally only two games in play at this point – Auburn playing Ole Miss and us playing Florida. Everyone else in that box is off this weekend or playing Vanderbilt. Even if Auburn wins I don’t see CBS caring more about the battle for second in the west more than they do about Alabama. And even if we beat Florida, I don’t see them taking our game against Mizzou. So why are they waiting?

mortgage the house- it shall be noon

I get that we can’t be on CBS every week, but we should NOT be in the mix for 12 noon. We are the #1 ranked team in the country, let ESPN try to beat FOX in the ratings with someone else. Who cares if some Big Ten garbage at noon gets a lot of viewers? Give me 3:30 or 7, but if we get noon I’m going to be very unhappy.

After CKS adds a few more trophies in the display case, then UGA football will get better time slots, I get the “we are #1 conversation”, Mickey will market that all day long, wait till they get their hands on the UGA -FU game…

Assuming we beat FU, I think CBS takes us at 3:30. Mizzou is probably the best last chance for an upset, and it would get better ratings than the other options, imo.

I’d laugh my butt off if Bama and LSU got a nooner.

My how the mighty have fallen in Baton Rouge.

  13. The Truth

Contrary to the continuing prevailing opinion here at GTP, Mickey wants their nooner to be a big deal. It might be the best shot we have at getting out of the noon slot — can’t imagine they don’t see either of the other 2 6-day matchups being a bigger draw. I’d take being in the mix for noon as a compliment from the WWL.

That said, I think it likely shakes out us/Mizzou at noon, AU/aTm at 3:30, and Bama/Coach O Farewell Tour at 7/6 Central. Ole Miss just beating the hell out of the Aubies is the wild card.

Yes, this may be ESPN hoping to plug Auburn-A&M into that noon slot if CBS won’t take them while it’s CBS trying to choose between LSU-Bama and Auburn-A&M? None of it makes any sense at all.

  14. If we land in the noon slot after winning on Saturday, I’m not worried in the least about readiness to play. We can lock up the trip to Atlanta with a win against Missouri, and we have the CMR ceremony. The team and crowd should be ready.

I think at this point they’re just fucking with us.

  16. stoopnagle

Fuck if I know. I was pretty sure we were getting tossed to SECN for this one.

Looks like a nooner to me
