Still playing those mind games together…

My hope is that by Saturday morning, every starter on the offense has chimed in with the observation that he doesn’t know who’s going to be the starting quarterback.

He could have said, “They’re both starting. We’ve been working one day a week since summer on a scheme with both QBs in the game together. We’ve got more than a dozen plays we run out of it.”
That would give 3rd something to think about.

Like many of you, I have no idea who’s starting Saturday afternoon.

How many teams can say that they have “two” high-end starting QB’s instead of a starter & a backup? Just like having two Cadillacs: one for Monday and one for Tuesday.

  5. Stetson starts for having earned it and stays in as long as he is scoring and moving the offense. Then JT comes in and remains our QB as long as he is effective and not limited by his injury.

Or…JT starts to see what he can do. Better than Stet and injury free he stays, else SBIV comes in for change of pace / relief. So yeah…it’s pretty clear what Kirby will do here.

Why would a QB at any school ever prepare as if he weren’t going to start?

I hope they both get 3 TD passes minimum. And Zeus and Cook tack on a couple each. #FTMF

Will the real starting QB please stand up…. Then we’ll see the surprised looks on all the players.

I think we win with either one of them and we’re going to need JT for Bama and the playoffs. However, the Florida game is too important to be the game for JT to work out the rust of being off a month. So I’m good with Stetson getting the green light against Florida and JT can get the start against Missouri and be QB1 the rest of the season.

This is my thinking too. Stet has passed all the tests so far this season and I’d hate to monkey with the offense against Florida. Let him start and get the win. If JT comes in later to tack on bonus points I’m fine with that. But let JT go with Mizzou forward and be ready for the playoffs.
