That’s one explanation, I suppose.

I waited and waited for a CBS camera to get a shot of him at the half.

The agony of defeat is something he has to look forward to again Georgia rules the East.

I think he should’ve worn a paper bag over his head. Would’ve been a better & more fitting disguise.
(Maybe Duke hat has the same effect, the more I think about it.)

Imagine if Vince Dooley hated Georgia and secretly believed that he should be the coach and you have Spurrier circa 2021.

Speaking of Vince, they played a video from Vince towards the end of the game, and I couldn’t hear it – anyone know what he was saying???

He was encouraging Georgia fans who live in Florida to pre-order their UGA license plates. They have to get a certain number of commitments to buy before the state of Florida will make the plates. UGA Alumni Association chapters in FLA have been pushing the project lately, the deadline is soon.

Can’t say I blame him – Jim Furyk was sitting a couple of rows in front of us (without a disguise) and people kept coming up to him the whole game to get pictures…

    • Several years ago right after Furyk won the FEDEX cup for $10M we were wandering the tailgate near the entrance looking to bum some beer and there Jim is with wife and inlaws! Nice as can be as he handed out the cans and we did the selfies. Jim went to ASU for golf but his wife or at least her family are all Dawgs. Says once a year so is he!

  7. In a stadium full of people dressed in either Georgia or Florida gear, doesn’t it seem like a random Duke fan would stand out more?

  9. Heck, FU and Duke have about the same record so far this season, maybe the old ballsack was “rootin” for the team he thought was better.

I find it odd that Steve Spurrier of all people has to wander through tailgates to get to the game. Maybe I’m ignorant, but wouldn’t pretty much any person of significance in both athletic departments get dropped off at a VIP door and then whisked up to the luxury boxes? It’s a NFL stadium, you know.

    It’s weird.
I bet it pisses of Duke fans.

  13. Previously Paul

He was Duke’s offensive coordinator for two years so, technically, he was representing.

B/c nothing hides better than Waldo, than an an ACC Coastal costume at an all SEC division clinching neutral site game.

If he wants to try out for the lead roll in ‘The Incredible Shrinking Man’ remake, he’s definitely got the look down pat.

Perhaps he should have just worn a South Carolina hat.

    Florida lost 34-7.

    Duke lost 45-7

    WFT lost 17-10.

    South Carolina tied BYE 0-0

Please tell me that jacket is velour. It seems to be the fabric of choice for the discerning older gentleman, especially as it relates to tracksuits.
