Invitation to a hanging

Over at Stingtalk, Tech fan haz a sad about the upcoming game at Mark Richt Field:

It’s nice that we’ve got his blessing to buy their tickets.

I’ve said this before, but I’ll repeat myself so the folks in back can hear me:  there is nothing more enjoyable in life than walking out of Bobby Dodd Stadium after a Georgia win.  Nothing.

What is is our record for the most points scored in that game?

  2. Most I can remember is 52 in 2019 with an absolutely dreadful offense.

  3. Many of the younger pups don’t remember when this was a rivalry…I can remember the trash talk leading up to the game and sometimes afterwards pre Mark Richt…I hated working for a Fech grad back in the day.

Speaking of which, do we know if O’ Leary every accurately updated his resume?

The gtu game will get here soon enough. But right now I’m not ready to stop twisting the Jax knife. More teary-eyed Daily gator posts, please, Brother Bluto.

  5. Even better than walking out of TIAA Bank Field after a win? Nah.

But there is nothing worse than walking out of Sanford Stadium after a loss to them damn Gnats.

I enjoy watching the Gator side empty out during the fourth more than I enjoy the walk out of the Gator Bowl and through the tailgate scene. The walk out of Tech is better in comparison because there are usually so few Tech fans in their stadium it isn’t as clear when they start filing out.

Agree, fd. Walking out of the stadium after losing to UF is pure, unadulterated hell. Walking out after a win is about as joyous as is possible. I am an even bigger ass than I normally am after a win over UF.

We should really just sit all of our starters that day to rest then up for the SECCG.

I have never been. Can never find anyone to brave the post thanksgiving chill with me for a noon kick. I’m determined to go this time.

There will be at least 40,000 Dawg fans there! For goodness sakes, go. You will be warmly welcomed by your fellow Dawgs.

I had to re-read your post 3 times because I thought a techie was complaining he couldn’t get anyone to go. Now that would be an accurate statement of fact.

Don’t drive a vehicle with any UGA signage on it anywhere near there.

  10. I went in 2019 and exorcised the demons of 1989. My 4th year daughter wants to go again, so I’m definitely going to pick up a couple especially if I can get them cheap.

I hate Tech, and I love beating Tech. My freshman, sophomore, and junior years were 1998, 1999, and 2000 so I’ll never forget the way it felt when they had the upper hand in the rivalry – made worse by the fact that the first two years it was on inexcusably horrible officiating.

That said, I’ve come around over the years to the fact that our biggest rival is Florida and there is nothing in life more satisfying than beating them. There’s only one game where the Redcoat Band changes the fight song – the “how’d you like to bite my ass” flourish on the end for the Gators. There’s only one game where we have a logo redrawn so the Bulldog has a Gator in his mouth. Florida’s the bigger deal – and they’re also the last of the rivals that we managed to put the clamps on so it’s still newer and feels so much better.

I’ve walked out of their with wins, sure, it’s nice. But it is assumed….try walking out of their with a loss….

I’ll keep saying it, it’s a no win situation for UGA. That said, I have no answers as to what to replace it with.

Im not in favor of scrapping the game but if you were to, replace it annually with Clemson early.

While we’re taking about things that will never happen, say to hell with Auburn’s scheduling and make those bitches play us in November as God intended.

I’ll have to take your word on it because I’ve never been to BDS but watching a sea of rowdy orange and denim go quiet and quickly turn to lifeless plastic teal in the Fall evening glow along the St. John’s River is certainly up there. NEVER MOVE THAT GAME.

It’s a generational thing, but I get it. I long suffered the torment of Florida fans, and no matter how long and how badly they suck, it’ll always be sweetest moment of the season when we win in Jacksonville.

If I can scrounge up the loot (THANKS, SHITTY CLIENT), I’ll head down. This is going to be a televised execution. Perhaps we can set up a Senator-community tailgate?

Walking out of the Joke by the Coke barking at all those NERDS!!! is gonna feel so so so so so so good.

The only question is, if J.T. is back for that game, can we do better than 52 points? I’m already counting on a shutout, but I’d love to see better than 52 points.

If it’s Bennett, I know we have no chance at even 40 points probably, but if Daniels is in at least for a half, 60 points is on table.

It’s nice of Yech to let us scrimmage a week early before the SECCG in Atlanta every other year

It’s most imperative to win ’em all between now and Dec 4, but it’s also very important to keep everyone healthy. I worry that those twisted tech twats will instigate shit in the second half that gets some of our players suspended for the first half of the SEC Championship. Keeping the Team intact is more important than setting scoring records.

So I was reading stinktalk and the back and forth of the two tech tough guys arranging a throw down prior to the next game. Pussies. One is scared and the other is glad of it.
Reminded me of two fellows in High School. Friends that had been jawing at each other all day that finally ended in a fight, if you could call it that. One would grab the other’s hair and slam his head into the wall locker and then the other would do the same with their pencil arms. This went on for awhile. It was the most bizarre excuse for a scrap that I’d seen since girls slap fighting. There was no damage to the lockers or their pointy little heads.
Anyhow, they kissed and made up after spending a day in detention with the hard cases. They roomed together at tech, married ugly women and have ugly children.
And they’re still candy ass little pussies.
