Man, the SECN+ is gonna be racking up the viewership that day, eh?

Yeah, I think every team is now contractually obligated to play a game on ESPN+ and this one had to go there since none had been selected previously and Tech belongs to the ACC contract.

With UK vs. NMST getting the nod for the SECN, I’m guessing that’s a basketball game.

I’m assuming Yech will also be a nooner… unless the networks decide to play it at 9 am to free up airtime for other noon games.

I’m surprised this game isn’t on The Ocho.

Well, if I were going to pick one – this would have been the noon game – can’t really complain about it…

REAL curious to the time for the Tech game…

I see it as a noon game, honestly. In-state rivalry or not, the stadium is going to be packed with Georgia fans, the game shouldn’t be competitive after the opening kickoff, and Tech isn’t going to be bowl eligible (or remotely close to it). Tech has a far higher chance of finishing 3-9 than 6-6, 5-7, or 4-8. It is going to be a Saturday with regional/state rivalries and Georgia’s game with Tech may be one of the least compelling in the entire nation. The only way, as I see it, that it isn’t a noon game is because Michigan and Ohio State is already at noon.

As long as GT remains on the schedule, and sucks (which they are proving to be very good at), it will be a nooner, and absolutely no one will want to watch outside of UGA fans.

To be clear, I don’t disagree at all. My last sentence was simply the caveat that Georgia should (knock on wood for this weekend) be the number one team in the country and that someone at a network might want it to be shown for the few people outside of Georgia fans that will watch it, or at least some of it, for that reason.

I guess I need to figure out how to get SEC+ with Comcast.

Hard to ever pull for Tech, but I will be cheering for them to take down the Irish in a couple of weeks.

I was just contemplating that dilemma after perusing tech’s schedule. I can’t root for tech even against those entitled yankee scumbags.
Meteor game. I hope the domers bust the maggots up so bad they have no mischief left in them to sabotage the Dawgs.

        RR,
        A tie.
To paraphrase the immortal Lewis Grizzard on the north ave. trade school’s tie with the dudes who wear tartan skirts in 1980.
“A tie was a gift from Heaven. Notre Dame gets knocked out of number 1 but Tech doesn’t get a win. God is a Bulldog!”

Not much to see on that slate.

I know this is our obligatory ESPN+ game and the time was announced a couple of weeks ago, but shouldn’t there be a little flexibility on the time since it’s streaming and only UGA fans will be watching? They’re streaming 3 games at noon against the SEC network game. Why not put it at four against the other SEC network game?

  9. The only thing that may convince Disney/ESPN to put the game in a window outside of noon is the idea of having the nation’s #1 team in their annual state rivalry game in a 3:30 or prime time window on ABC, an ESPN or the ACCN.

If the game is at noon, it will be up against anOSU/Michigan on Fox.

  10. Was hoping in Georgia ESPN would throw it on the SECN Alternate channel.

I swear Tech has had more games on the Sinclair regionals than on regular TV. I can’t get it on YoutubeTV and it’s not on Comcast either. The viewing public will forget we are no.1 with that combo.

Dish Network 596 or 597 SEC Alternate is SEC Network+. Is that correct?
I don’t even know where a Sports Bar is anymore.
