“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Sounds like another bb gun incident.

That is what I read. Was school in session? Hopefully his life is not ruined over this.

I don’t recall there being really harsh consequences the last time. Rochester was involved in that one. Obviously, the facts can be different here, but if its just a bb gun and university (dorm) property damage he’ll be ok. Restitution, community service, yada yada…

He may request jail time to avoid the wrath of Kirby. Given the time of the season and what’s at stake, I doubt Kirby is going to be to happy about this.

Two felony charges for freshman cornerback Nyland Green. The first is for carrying a “weapon” (bb gun) in a school zone. The second is for 2nd degree criminal damage to property. 2nd degree criminal damage to property could either be (1) intentionally damaging property of another person valued over $500; or (2) recklessly or intentionally, by means of fire or explosive, damaging property of another person.
Hopefully he was just overcharged and this is just youthful hijinks gone awry. I had my share of boneheaded mistakes involving fire, bb guns, and property damage. Thankfully, mine did not end up in felony charges.

Looks like this year’s DB haul might be the strongest part of the recruiting class. Green had better take note and knuckle down or he’ll find himself relegated to the back of the bench.

Yeah, the carrying a weapon in the school safety zone is BS. It’s only a school safety zone when school is in session. My attorney brother had a case like this a few years back. Sounds like another case where an arresting officer really has no idea of what he’s enforcing. Just write them up and move along.

Just more fodder for the nerds to enjoy as they create their “Bail Bondsmen Needed” bed sheets that we will see all over the stadium…sorry, I meant the 13 students that will be attending the game will be holding them up!

Hopefully for him on the legal end this gets resolved like Rochester. On the football end, I would not want to have to face Kirby on this. We do not need any more distractions before the post season. As others have mentioned, with the DB haul we have coming in this class along with Ricks in the portal he needs to be concerned. Get his shit together or he will get his walking papers to go to Florida or some other shithole outpost with our other misfits.

Meh….it should get resolved very quickly if Green is smart about it.

I blame the NCAA, because due to limitations on practice and hours spent on football matters, these kids have too damn much time on their hands. Just kidding, I think.

If the DBs want to get all their Targeting done off the football field, I’m fine with it.

Ben, in your Twitter photos there is a pic of you aiming an AR type rifle. It’s hard to tell but looks almost as if you know what the fuck you’re doing. Tip of your nose on the edge of the charging handle it seems.

Haha…that’s from an episode of Sons of Anarchy. A little disappointed the “Aryan Brotherhood” didn’t have the money for decent optics in that world.

If my research is correct you acted as an AB member in 2014 in SOA. I quit watching at the end of season 3 when Opie revenge whacked that evil, twisted female ATF agent. I figured it couldn’t get any better after that.
Concerning optics, I’m old school in many ways. When it comes to equipment that will improve my performance? I’m always eager to try something that’s proven reliable. From iron sights to red dots improved my target acquisition. After reading about the successful transition of the Marines to the ACOG and then shooting Got Cowdog’s I made that upgrayedd. Two D’s for the double dose of enhancement as the VCOG was the logical next purchase. Me and Horndog Hans are about to sling some lead down range now. VCOG is mounted on a suppressed POF Edge .308. Neighbors will join us shortly.
I hope y’all all have a happy Thanksgiving.

Excuse me while I shout from the front porch. We all had guns in our trucks when I was in school.
Not BB guns either. We all carried a knife. Sometimes it was a sure enough gut hook too, not just a Case knife or something similar. And I’m only forty three. Now the cops get called for a BB gun. This is horse shit.

Tell me about it. A guy in my graduating class in college capped a few rounds of 9mm into his dorm door when he was a bit liquored up and his gf had left him. Just replaced the door…he retired at LTC a couple of years ago. BTW the old solid hardwood doors make a pretty good bullet stop for handguns; not that I’d want to test it…

Your dad was obeying rule #2 and not pointing the Glock AT someone which was fortunate. You can’t take a bullet back, so you gotta be obsessive about safety.
1) Treat all weapons as if they’re loaded.
2) Never point a firearm at anything you don’t want to kill.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot.
4) Be sure of your target and what’s behind it.
5) Don’t be fuckn around and playing with guns and acting the gotdam fool. You’ll kill somebody or put your damn eye out with that thing.

This will be reduced to criminal mischief (if that’s still a crime), and he’ll make restitution and go to a gun safety class … then, Kirby and Scott Sinclair will get a hold of him.

Years ago (50/60’s) there use to be a defense attorney in Athens who went by the moniker, “the colonel” – as stereotypical as that may sound. He had a winning record. It’s looking as if Athens could use another Colonel.
