Not as hard as it looks

Hey, Florida, it’s easy!  Just go to the coach store and pick out one that looks good on ‘ya.

Shit, Andrea, who would that be?  Saban and Smart have basically recruited to a draw over the past few years; nobody else has been in their class.  And I don’t think Nick’s moving to Gainesville any time soon.

That’s all they have to do. Go hire somebody who will recruit better than Kirby. Like falling off a log.

WHEN we win it all, all the naysayers will be doing backflips to kiss Kirby’s ring and somehow he will have finally “learned” how to coach.

Their obsession with Billy Napier is weird. Didn’t Dabo fire that guy?

Rumor I read on one of their boards: he was canned for punching Dabo in the face; he punched him because Dabo was changing his play calls without telling him. Sounds too good to be true, but Napier has more upside potential (and less baggage) than any of the other names currently being thrown around. I’m hoping he ends up at LSU.

Sounds like horse schit. “Paaaaaaaaawl, the only reason Dabo fired him was because he was too much of a bad ass!” Yeah right.

He is supposed to be Kirby but with more varied experience because he worked for Dabo and Graham at ASU. We will see.

Bah. Kirby can’t coach. Ask any Gator. “UGA AINT DONE NOTHIN WITH ALL THAT DO CALLED TALENT, PAWWWLLLL! HE AINT DEVELOPED NOBODY!”

Well. Suddenly, after he’s beaten their ass 4 out of 5 tries despite being over matched against The QB Whisperer, Developer of 3 Stars, Offensive Genius, and the True Heir of Slytherin®, all the” no Gator would trade Mullen for Kirby”lemmings suddenly want someone like…… Kirby.

I’m having an extra helping of schadenfreude for Thanksgiving. Maybe enough to get Coach Capri Pants fired after an epic beatdown this weekend reveals he ain’t it, either, chief. Once Thanksgiving is over, remember: it’s the season of miracles.

  5. The talk around Stoops is humorous to me. He’ll be the fan fav pick but I’m not sure someone coming out of retirement that hasn’t been on the new facility arms race and recruiting wars will even comprehend how to recruit in the year 2022. I’m hoping they go with another homer here

She’s a handbag writer and allowed to say stupid stuff for a living. I watched the entire interview with her yesterday. I hope every gator on the search committee is as clueless as her. Regarding Billy Napier she mentioned his success at Clemson seemingly unaware he was fired there and passed over for promotion by Saban while at Bama as the reason he left there.

With every passing day the legend of Billy Napier grows more epic on their message boards. No wonder SOS and Urban both walked away from their HC job. The sense of entitlement they have is unlike anything not in Tuscaloosa.

I don’t see the problem. Elite head coaches that are elite recruiters are a dime a dozen.

  9. Hmmmmm … it would seem everyone is coming around to the premise that Kirby is probably a better Xs and Os guy than he’s given credit for. Everyone knows the recruiting chops that Kirby has and how he has made it super important for his staff. Anyone who believes this staff can’t develop talent is a bunch of fools. If you want to know the name of someone who needs to get paid, that name is Scott Sinclair. He and his team are the guys who transformed Jordan Davis into the most imposing physical presence in the college game today. He’s the reason this team looks different getting off the bus.

Kirby is NOT an offensive guru. When you aren’t the best what do you do? You go out and find someone who is and let him do his job which is exactly what Kirby did. Being a great leader is the ability to recognize the talent in others and then letting them do their job. The HC or CEO sets the tone and guides the ship but he is not down in the engine room making it run.

#88 ain’t bad either -ALL or the D are amazing physical specimens. Hoping the coaching braintrust use every particle of their coaching acumen when we play BAMA. Would be a wonderful thing to look back and realize we out gamed them and out physicaled them too.

      • I totally agree. That’s the reason I said we look different getting off the bus.

I just think about 99 and how he was a 3-star big kid. Kirby and Sinclair got on about his weight and staying in shape when he arrived. You don’t normally say a 340 pound man carries his weight well, but Davis looks the part.

88 does, too, but he was a 5-star coming into the program.

Oh yeah? Well, the jerk store called, and they’re all out of Mullen.

They blame “supply chain difficulties,” “a chip shortage,” and “OPEC,” but we know the deal.

Florida would be wise to avoid another asshole as a coach. I don’t think I have ever heard a coach call out another coach like Drinkwitz did to Dopey Dan. Last year apparently left a real mark on Drinkwitz.

” Eli Drinkwitz had this to say about Dan Mullen: “My father was a farmer, and there’s an old saying you reap what you sow. If you sow kindness, you reap kindness. If you sow jackass, you reap jackass.” Mic drop.”
