“Georgia’s gonna win by double digits.”

At least in terms of the Dawgs covering the spread tomorrow, Clay Travis delivers the kiss of death here:

I think the dudes at Eleven Warriors used to run a regular feature betting the opposite of Travis’ picks.  They always finished the year making money.

This is some bad mojo for those of us that still have a small, glowing ember of Munson in our psyches.

“Small glowing ember” ?!?!? Are you kidding me??? More like an old school Magic Chef stove eye….on high. Red.

Yeah, well I’m trying to be positive but the closer we get to tomorrow afternoon, the closer I keep the fire extinguisher.
If Corso picks the Dawgs, I’m pullin’ the pin on the thing.

  7. Remember the Quincy

Damn it, I made it nearly an entire season without hearing his name. I was hoping he had faded away in the sunset.

I too think the Dawgs win by 10+, GATA…

  9. The Truth

Say it out loud, brothers and sisters. Own it, claim it — the only way we’re losing tomorrow is if we lay an egg. And this bunch of Dawgs just don’t seem like the egg-laying type in any shape, form, or fashion.

There, I said it. Now time to wash down some Valium and try to chill until 4p tomorrow.

Mr. Hot Take has come a ways from three years ago when he said Georgia was regressing to the mean (I admit to watching a few of his videos back then, but two or three was all I could stomach).

God, I hate Clay Travis. He’s right about this one, but I still hate him.

In the early 1990’s I was at an Auburn-GA game and Auburn won big. I talked with Coach Haffner after the game and he was pissed. He said, “I have to go sit in front of the press and explain why we lost. If those guys (the Press) had just looked at each sidelines they could tell why we lost. Auburn had all of the players. We have to recruit better.”
When you look at all of the stats and all of the other bullshit, then just look at the players, look at the sidelines. You can not possibly think Ala. has a chance in this game. The only thing they have is the name . I don’t think that is enough to beat this GA TEAM.

  14. I won’t call out the things he got objectively wrong in that verbal vomit, but I’ll say that when you have a graphic on the screen and can’t read it, that’s bad.

We ARE going to win by double digits.

He said our Defense is underrated. What? Who is underrating our defense? I guess if by that he means the folks who believe Bama is gonna expose them, I could maybe see his point – but no. In the world of college football talking heads, the UGA Defense is in no way underrated.

He and Sal just sound like two dudes at a tailgate, tho. Nothing incredible in their takes. The proliferation of sports media has allowed for all manners of chucklefucks to rise to prominence and he’s just one. Sam Acho has been giving bad takes all year and I haven’t seen anyone take him to task for it. He still believes Stetson is just an ok QB. I forgive our fans for that nonsense to a degree, but when your profession is studying and understanding college football, you should know better.

    Go Dawgs
