Today, in attention seeking

Nothing like promoting a non-decision…

If they’re going to float a little NIL money his way, he ought to do one of these every week until NSD in February.  Hey, it works for ESPN and the selection committee, amirite?

UPDATE:  Just a tease, I guess.

Can’t remember for sure…didn’t UGA have a player who refused to “sign” and just came and played?

I though this would happen. You have to admit, you saw it coming also.
    This is just the start.

The kids love Takis. That’s one thing I can say for sure. I feel like if Georgia just started handing out bags of Takis we’d get every recruit we want, especially if they’re the ones with the blue dust. Blue Taki dust fingerprints are all over our house, our teenagers subsist mostly on them. I don’t get it, but it’s definitely true.

I wish I could remember who the recruiting guru was that I was listening to on ESPNU a few weeks ago. He said that if you look back at the 5 stars who sign vs the 5 stars who turn into drama queens (like Zach Evans), there is a huge difference in the percentage that turn into superstars vs being also rans or flame outs. The higher the level of drama, the lower level of success. Yes there are exceptions on both sides of that, but we are talking odds. The drama queens don’t seem to fit well in a tam oriented environment where they are not the center of attention. Terrell Owens was a star on the field in the NFL but destroyed every locker room he was a part of because he had to be the center of attention. With the maturity level of most 18-22 year old males, that level of distraction in a college locker room would be even further magnified. Sometimes a talent is just not worth it.

Ooof. That’s tough, what confuses me is a 5-star weighing between Kentucky and Michigan State?!?!

Oh I definitely thought the same. Maybe he’s got Fred Gibson ambitions of playing his way onto the basketball team.

Won’t be surprised at all if this is the last mid December early signing day. Will be completely surprised if the mid December early signing day continues after 2023. As Saban predicted, the unintended consequences of the early signing period have come home to roost in many places and athletic departments are understanding that the early signing period is causing the mass coaching turnovers and potential long term harm to the football programs when you lose an entire recruiting class to your rivals (looking at you UF).

Somebody is going to try to get a rule pushed through that NIL deals can’t be made until after a player matriculates onto his campus, too. LOL
