This **could** be the year.

Yes, but don’t forget that Bo’s new offensive coordinator coached him at Auburn his freshman season, so…  eh, forget it.

That being said, I can’t wait for somebody to ask Lanning in his first presser after his move out west what he was thinking here.

  1. That line of questioning only applies if Lanning can find himself a plucky walk-on QB to bypass Nix on the depth chart.

I mean, even though Bo Nix was underwhelming his Freshman year, maybe Lanning sees some value in having an OC and a serviceable/experienced QB who already have history together and (apparently) like each other?

It would go a long way toward improving my opinion of him if he’d just get rid of that stupid spiked haircut.

    • I’m looking forward to West Coast/Portland Bo Nix — long, shaggy, stoner-type hair, big goatee only in red (sort of like Jim Neidhart from the old WWF many, many years ago), wearing green and yellow tie-dyed arm sleeves and sporting a new Grateful Dead tattoo on his right calf.

Should bo nix attempt to play that “i was born to be a duck” card, he can’t, already played that at the prettiest little cesspool on the plains and if he thinks traveling out west is gonna’ wash that cesspool off his soul, that ain’t happenin’ either, he was born a barner, dressed up as a barner, dreamed of being a barner, drank from the cesspool, used barner cow pies to draw up barner plays in the catbox…though, bo nix might be trying to under cut the new duck HC disguised as a double agent, to get even for all that harm the new duck HC inflicted on him…

Lanning spent the last three seasons bullying Bo Nix. So yeah… what the hell was he thinking here?

P12’s on notice now, Lanning brought the 13 books of QB Process & Management with him. Riley & Kelly are freaking out.

Come to think of it, bo nix might just fit in at land of the ducks, his passes resemble a wounded duck, with his busted up leg, he will surely walk like a duck, enough film exists for the opposition to feast on this newest of ducks, he will look really good on the side lines being used as a duck decoy….

My questions exactly….Lanning saw how bad he can be 1st hand. Now to learn the OC actually coached him! I guess the phrase “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” proves to true once again.

Maybe Lanning isn’t getting in the way of his OC and letting him make the call? Or maybe he has a bead on another QB in the portal? Or maybe he’s just waiting for Georgia’s season to end before he brings a QB he knows with him to Oregon?

I grew up in GA, but am an Arizona grad. If you watch SEC football and Arizona football, the thing that sticks out the most is how slow Arizona’s defense is in comparison to UGA, Bama, etc. It’s like Zona’s defense is running through molasses. Bo Nix is no Khalil Tate, but the sledding will be easier for sure. No UGA, Bama, A&M, etc…

I’m not saying Nix will be great – or even start. But if I were Coach Lanning, I wouldn’t turn down more depth in the QB room. You never know if you get more than 1 HC job, and QB is the most important position to get right by far.

Yeah cause at UGA I’m sure Lanning learned how to manage QBs with our precedent.

Bo Nix was born 45 years too late . He would have been a great Veer quarterback.
