First,
Shit, COVID is undefeated, even against the GOAT. Seriously, if the program you’d have to think has taken the most serious approach to protocols can’t stop the spread, you’ve got to start worrying about the possibility that the CFP field as a whole is going to be impacted. Hope that’s not the case, but it’s something to keep an eye on.
This ain’t the CFP, but still, it ain’t good, either.
Next, Graham shares some good news.
As good as that is for Pickens, I hope it’s even better news with regard to team spread. All we can do is wait and see.

UPDATE: Yikes.
I wonder what that does to Jimbo’s bowl game bonus.

UPDATE #2: In case you were wondering…
Hard to believe A&M doesn’t have enough players.

38 schollys plus 15 walk-ons (guarantee they have more) = 53… the size of an NFL roster.
Of course, you’d have to assume that by the numbers, a bunch of the walk-ons would be effected, too.
They could field a team, I’d think… but they’d be almost guaranteed to lose. It’d be a hell of a coaching job winning a game with so few players.
Doubt Jimbo&Co are up for that lift.

Also, you don’t know that TAMU’s bottomed out on numbers yet.

The irony of Covid protocol is that the healthiest people in the world are subject to the most stringent testing. If you test anyone hourly, don’t be shocked to get test errors.

In our neverending quest to identify “the most Georgia thing ever,” wouldn’t having the entire CFP canceled in a year where we’ve got a real shot at the Natty have to be the all-time champion?

Had we only won on the 4th….

I was just about to ask, what if the unthinkable happens and all 4 teams can’t play.

wouldn’t want it anyway. We’d just be ridiculed for it.

Their rules don’t seem to address this specifically. I think it would be hard to get to the point where all 4 can’t play. It’s more likely that in the “3 can’t play” scenario, there would be a 4th team that manages to hold off on reaching their threshold in an effort to be declared the champion. That seems like a strange outcome given that under the “both teams can’t play after the semifinal” scenario, they would declare no contest and vacate the whole thing.
Either way, a national championship earned by way of covid forfeits is going to feel meaningless.

If the “protocols”. i.e., the same shit we been doing for 2 years, worked, all this would be over. Re-dam-diculous.

If there weren’t so much resistance to common gd sense we’d be a lot further along.

We are exactly where they want us to be. Cute that you think “resistance to common gd sense” is why. Irony much?

in my city the majority of the people have not been doing the protocols for the last two years. The protocols do not work if too many people thumb their noses at them.

The protocols were never going to work because people aren’t going to sit with close friends and family inside the house and wear masks and spread the furniture out.

No, but the vax rate on TexAgs.com appears to be very low.

The Senator was doing two COVID swabs at a time, way before it was a thing! Who knew….

The home kits should not be a thing. There is too much user error involved with them. They should be removed from the market. If people want to get tested let them go to a clinic or hospital. At least you have trained personnel there to handle tests and to perform the methodology correctly.

since Greg McGarity is the president of the Gator Bowl I approve of TAMU opting out. that is all.

Wouldn’t that just chap our asses if michigan bows out, cinci beats Bama & we still lose cfp. It’s a possibility to consider because, the georgia way & Quarterback play.

This is my cue to pay zero attention to college ball until 7:30pm on New Year’s Eve. If I turn on the tv and Georgia is there about to play a football game then I’ll resume giving a shit.

Sorry Senator in advance
Trump admitted to a friendly crowd he took the booster and the vaccine. He was booed slightly. I hate politicians more than anyone here, but some of y’all need to get a damn grip.
Especially those thinking it’s a fake to justify starting Bennett. We already know Kirby has fucked the qb situation without Covid excuses. Whether or not it’s deadly to who gets it, the virus spreads like no other and it’s not fair or impartial.
Sorry again senator. I’ll just self post season ban myself like Tennessee did or something.

No need to self ban….as no one can really decipher the points you are trying to make in the post. Carry on

GO Illini! The Gator Bowl said it was “aggressively” working with the NCAA to find a replacement team over the next few days.
Illinois (5-7), which was officially eliminated from bowl contention once all eligible teams were selected on Dec. 5, is open to the possibility of playing in a bowl game, sources told ESPN. Marshall, which lost to Louisiana last week in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, also is interested in being a replacement opponent, sources told ESPN.
“Waiting by the phone…. #ILL #famILLy,” Illinois coach Bret Bielema posted on Twitter on Wednesday.
