Silence is golden.

The SkyCast version of the Ringo pick-six is sublime.

The way Gawd intended for us to enjoy that.

Honestly, I would pay extra for an ESPN SkyCast channel.  I really would.

  1. My first rewatch of the game was the Skycast version. I like it more and more. Closest thing to actually being there.

I think it is a little better than being there because you get a zoomed in view of an end zone seat and you get to change seats to be behind the quarterback on almost every play. Definitely worth paying extra for if they did every game like that.

MLB Extra Innings used to have “Ballpark” audio, where the announcers were muted and you just got the ballpark audio only. It was fantastic until they did away with it a few years back. As a result I dropped my subscription.

Seriously, I’d pay $100 a season for the ability to have this feature for cfb games.

    • It was available on the ESPN app for several SEC games this year. I watched Bama-LSU at my neighbors house on Skycast. Thing is, he didn’t have an ESPN login (he doesn’t have a traditional TV or streaming subscription), so the app would only let us watch the skycast and not the standard version which was fine by me. If you have a login you get both.

What’s the origin on “Chip Six”?

  5. I haven’t been able to figure it out on my own. Why are people calling it the Chip Six?

That stadium has a healthy PA system! That crowd was worse than bonkers, Gator Bowl rocking, girders are bending, and that guy’s voice came through LOUD AND CLEAR.

Will there ever be a time when this gets old? Gonna say no. If I may nitpick……………WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO LEARN TO TAKE THE HELMET OFF BEFORE APPLYING THE SAVAGE PADS?

And just like that, 1980 because just another year where Georgia won one of its National Championships. In a crowd that loud, that joyous… Words will not get you there. One of the greatest moments of my life.

One thing that was really lost on me in watching the TV replay of the game was that the frantic energy Alabama was operating with on offense, particularly in the first half, didn’t come through at all. In the stadium, they were going 100 mph (as evidenced by how many plays they ended up running) and looked at the beginning like they were going to try and run our D ragged – that energy just didn’t come through on the tv replay…

Also, my youtube queue this morning had a montage of fan videos of inside the stadium for the INT. I prefer to watch a game or concert when I’m there and don’t get the whole “record it with your cell phone” thing (guess that means I’m old), but it was neat to see interesting perspectives from around the field/stadium….

  12. Yeah. I watched both games live on sky cast and then watched a recording of the regular broadcast

I wish Skycast was available for every game. My favorite way to watch Georgia games is with Skycast on TV and Jim Donnan synced up on YouTube.

Skycam rules. They used it for Auburn in 2020 and for Clemson, too. Between now and then they decided they just couldn’t stand not having someone speak stupidity over the ambient noise at least a little bit and it’s detracted from the whole thing. At least they’re not talking during the game. Yet.

  15. This will run on a continuous loop in my mind, becoming my new happy place…now I just need to make room by trying to clear out some of the malts and hops and a few Seinfeld clips rattling around up there.

“Serenity Now” gets replaced with “Kelee Ringo Touchdown!”

I’ve got things to do today or I’d watch that clip over and over all day long. I’ll never forget the surge of adrenaline and at the same time a huge wave of relief when Ringo caught that ball. The same feeling in 80 when Scott Woerner intercepted Notre Dame towards the end of the 4th quarter. It was truly over. Dawgs win!

I watched the entire Arkansas game on Skycast and it was glorious. You could really see how their mouthy cocky linebacker Bumper Pool ended just about every play on his backside. Even when he made the tackle, he was hanging out for dear life and going backwards.

Sky cast is all I use. Y’all don’t all use a Firestick? Why would you pay for stuff you don’t watch?

  20. SkyCast is where I first learned how awful Bo Nix truly is. I know I should be a mature adult and forgive most of his bullshit due to youthful exuberance. But I won’t. #AuburnSucks
