Today, in gappin’

I know it’s not even the end of April yet, but perhaps we ought to check in with the 247Sports Composite to see how Florida’s newfound emphasis on recruiting is paying off early.

Well played, Billy.

No, I don’t expect to see the Gators sitting down there come December, but an auspicious start, that’s not, especially considering how many support staffers Napier hired in the last three months.

Georgia, by the way, is currently on top.

Having checked the composite last night after our latest composite, I was surprised when you said Georgia is on top. I realize now you’re referring to SEC recruiting ranks and not the national ranking. Florida is 47th in that ranking, FWIW. 🙂

December recruiting focus for gators sounds like Mullen left his recruiting manual behind. Don’t change a thing Billy you can coach up those 5 star hearts.

BUT there are multiple blue-chips almost ready to schedule visits! Kids who never would’ve stepped foot on Mullen’s campus are now talking about visiting…they still ain’t signing, but Big Willy Billy is sooooo much better than Mullen. He actually realizes how shitty his current team is, that’s progress!!!

They will have to go all-in and beat us in the next year or two or they will settle into the top 10-15 which will not beat us unless calamity strikes.

FD, Uncle Got and I were texting last night and he put forth a statement that you, to my twisted delight, have reinforced oh so well.
      Cthulhu bless you both.

I never was a martinet or stickler on inspections. Just be clean and orderly. But occasionally I had troopers challenge me to find ANYTHING dirty. If the black light didn’t get ‘em? There was always the brass drains. Hell I’ve seen drain caps Brassoed on both sides. But they never Brasso down into the pipe as deep as my white gloved hand could reach.

The secret is to mix the proper amount of bleach and ammonia to either give the impression of cleanliness or poison the guy dumb enough to stay in there that long. You, of course, run the risk of having the wrong Gunny who due to smoke inhalation, Marlboro Reds, anger, and tinnitus is immune to this concotion. In this case, you have to be prepared to have “your time” fucked with, which is not great.

If we get Arch, there are whispers that we will get one of the biggest WR hauls ever. All the players want to play with Arch. We get him and it’s like getting Fields all over again (well hopefully not exactly like that).

Napier doesn’t have time to recruit. He’s busy enough handing out daily practice trophies.
