So if Kirby is an insane developer why does he need the #1 class every year, why can’t he just sign 3 stars and… develop them pic.twitter.com/uxHzFwCRuB

Chaser.
The Dakota's Big Three (North Dakota State, SoDak State, North Dakota) had the same amount of draft picks as Florida's Big Three (UF, FSU, Miami)

Good thing that gap’s closing.
Gators had plenty of talent – just nobody there cared to develop them. Wonder if it was the Ol’ Ball Sack undermining Mullen with the BullGators and screwing thngs upnthe whole time?

If Dan Mullen was such a great QB developer, why didn’t he play walk-ons at QB and save those scholarship spots for other positions? If Air Force fighter jocks are such great pilots, why don’t we send them into battle in Cessna 172s? See, I can play stupid games, too.

Handbags are so freaking stupid. They don’t get, and I hope they never get, that recruiting is the biggest part of being a head coach. I was at the Terry Gala last night where Kirby spoke. Matt Stinchcomb asked him about recruiting, and Kirby’s response was there’s not a waking moment when he isn’t thinking about it. By the way, he seems to be bullish on our 2022 prospects.

I hope for his marriage’s sake there are some moments when he is thinking of Marybeth and his kids.

I don’t think there’s any problem there. Even he admits Mary Beth keeps him grounded in what’s important now.

There’s a team of analysts working in that too.

Well, Jordan Davis was a 3-star recruit. I hear he’s doing all right these days.

You know, this stat is actually especially worse for FU…remember they hung their hat on utilizing the Portal so much for the last couple of years. If Dipshit Mulllllen was actually good at “coaching” up these transfers too, then they would have had a lot more players drafted. We knew it early on, but now the rest of America can see that Dan Mullen was truly a joke. No snark there, just honest truth. He was a major cluster ____.

Funny that he could do OK at Miss. St. and be a flop at Florida. Do they have different kind of players there or could it be something else? (not to say that he wasn’t a jerk at Miss. State.)

Apalachicola Bay golden oysters,
That ain’t gold. That’s red tint from the mud from Georgia.
Shuck ‘em & suck ‘em.

Advice to some of the young pups out there…don’t get a hand shandy from a gal that shucked oysters for a living…better to just grab some 30 grit sand paper and have a “selfy” it will have the same effect

If it was only recruiting, then why did Texas not have anyone drafted? We had two (maybe more) that left (Johnson, Mays) that were also drafted. You still have to coach ’em up once you get ’em. By the way, was there ANY draft eligible DAWG that was not drafted. I’m sure there was but I can’t think of who off the top of my head.

I had a look at ESPN’s “best available” tab on their draft page after the draft was over. The only Bulldog on it was Christopher Smith. But he’s also on the 2022 roster, which I think means he’s coming back. So I assume the answer to your question is, “No.“

I had posted this question elsewhere and they named Julian Rochester. I had forgotten about the old man.

Clearly the NFL is terrible at evaluating all the talent Mullen developed at Florida.
