Looks like the Big 12 will be the Bigger 12 next year.
Where does that leave Texas and Oklahoma in the departure department? Beats me.

Guessing we hear before the end of the summer. Fox won’t renegotiate the tv deal without knowing what happens with UT and OU, the conference won’t want a reduced contract if those two schools leave, and if they stay those two schools won’t want to reduce their share of the revenue. Maybe the Big 12 puts the new 3 on a reduced share deal until UT and OU leave. A global settlement makes the most sense, but that means it won’t happen.

I’d be happy to see the Big12 work out their differences and get the TV to keep Texas and OU.
Is it going to happen? I’d wager not.

I’d gladly have the SEC play the role of jilted mistress if the Big 12, Texas and Oklahoma went through counseling to work things out…even if only for the benefit of their existing children and newborn triplets.

Agreed. Maybe we can give them Missouri back while we’re at it.

And Arkansas too. Maybe talk South Carolina into taking East Carolina and joining the Big CUSA 12 as well.

..and I’d take them as a payment for the counseling fee to patch the Big12 up.

If Texas & Oklahoma ain’t gone by then, whelp then those B12 Conference payout checks might be a little watered down. Not that Texas cares.
