One big happy

Looks like the Big 12 will be the Bigger 12 next year.

Where does that leave Texas and Oklahoma in the departure department?  Beats me.

    Guessing we hear before the end of the summer. Fox won’t renegotiate the tv deal without knowing what happens with UT and OU, the conference won’t want a reduced contract if those two schools leave, and if they stay those two schools won’t want to reduce their share of the revenue. Maybe the Big 12 puts the new 3 on a reduced share deal until UT and OU leave. A global settlement makes the most sense, but that means it won’t happen.

    I’d be happy to see the Big12 work out their differences and get the TV to keep Texas and OU.

    Is it going to happen? I’d wager not.

    If Texas & Oklahoma ain’t gone by then, whelp then those B12 Conference payout checks might be a little watered down. Not that Texas cares.
