Steve Spurrier would always rank Duke #25 in the preseason coaches’ poll because they gave him his first HC job. But I can’t even he would never put Vandy 1st in the East. Methinks some journo out there was running very late, very drunk, or both.

Most years the media choice for first place in the East has been wrong. Not this year.

I haven’t thought of that festival in a long time. I watched Janis check in while working at her hotel on Lake Worth. Man did she make an entrance. Big floppy hat feather boas and rows of giant steamer trunks filled the lobby. My best Johnny Winter concert was at Pirates World just down the road from WPB. John Dawson Winter IIV was great live before drugs became more than recreational.

My and my pals hitched down there from Illinois! It was a crazy trip and we ended up leaving the last morning before the Stones but, that the hell I saw em in Chicago on 65! That website has tone of pics and I was able to find the one of us and bought it!

Barry Odom’s 3-2-6 defense is a perfect design to make the Pirate’s version of the Air Raid frustrated. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Arkansas as 2nd in the west.
