This is good.
Wished they’d have done this for the last one, but I’ll take it going forward.
I’m just sayin’. 😉

“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23
I am missing something other than a half hour?

Last year’s kickoff was at about 8:20, so it’s closer to an hour than a half hour.

Ah, I think I was so hopped up on goofballs, I don’t recall the actual kickoff time. Thanks.

I’m not sure if that means the game itself will kickoff at 7:30 or that ESPN’s expanded bloviation will start a half hour earlier. I’m betting on the latter.

I think you know that answer in your heart, haha.

Felt even later than that to me. For some reason I have 9p in my mind

Hopefully, it is relevant to us and given the time zone, the whole structure of the day sets up better. The clock January 10 in Indy seemed to have minutes that lasted longer than 60 seconds and hours that lasted longer than 60 minutes.
In an ideal world, we win the game by 8pm local time, celebrate in the stadium for another 45 minutes, and are at dinner by 9:30!

We just booked a flight to San Diego for the weekend, so this makes it that much easier to get back down there after the game. Especially since our flight back on Monday leaves at 8 PT.

Cigars around 10:45. Got it.

Nice feeling to be concerned about kick off times for National Championship games.

Is there no $$$$$ in that 8:20 kickoff time $lot or is Mickey announcing this years title game will go into double O.T….

If we make it to the NC game that works great for those going but not so much for working people in the ETZ unless they take the next day off. Glad I recently retired. My wife and I were at the National Championship Game in January and didn’t get in the bed until about 3 AM and that was without any after game celebration. This year’s game is probably out of reach for us and my wife refuses to fly. She would definitely have to be knocked out with some drug.

Agree, getting back to hotel @ 330am local time in Indy was late, but felt like I didn’t care. Champs and all. . .
Love the time change here for SoFi, regardless of who plays (of course hoping its us, but will attend regardless).
Frankly, Fiesta Bowl > Natty would be a helluva 10 day stretch out here on the west side. Hunker Down Dawgs. Keep choppin’

Now if they would just play on a Saturday like the rest of the season, instead of a week night, it would be perfect! 🙄

If (IF is doing a lot of work here, I know), the Falcons were in the playoffs and UGA was playing for the Natty on the same Saturday night… reckon who wins the ratings in state of Georgia viewers? NFL being the ratings juggernaut it is…

The season’s underway, I don’t have to be a TV ratings and broadcast deal contract again until the offseason.

All I know is ringing the bell after midnight was a blast. I told all the neighbors I was ringing the bell if we won and I was betting we were. They all said, ring it off the post!!

Here’s my announcement. If the Dawgs aren’t playing I probably won’t stay up for it.
Neither will millions of other Joe 6 packs.

This is how I should be to convince the committee these Monday night championships are stupid AF, but I just can’t quit college football yet.
