I’d love to get some night games in Sanford Stadium, especially after all the damned noon games last season.

Best candidates now are Auburn and Tennessee. Vandy and the NATS have noon game written all over them.

    • Fech will be a noon game for many reasons. Vandy could be a night game on the SEC Network depending on how everything shakes out (it’s homecoming, so I’m guessing noon as well).

If Tennessee keeps up their record, I could see that game at 3:30 on CBS (especially if they only have 1 loss to Bama). I definitely see one of the pre-game shows being in Athens on this week.

Auburn may be at night (or the ESPN noon game), but I think it’s going to be on ESPN regardless.

October 9th is a CBS 3:30/8 doubleheader. Hard to see Auburn@Georgia being the first choice that week, even with Texas A&M losing to App State (they play Bama). It’s not as hard to see them being the second choice, though. If it gets past that (would probably require Auburn losing to Missouri at home this weekend), noon is almost guaranteed.

I think CBS ultimately is going to want both Georgia and Alabama on their network that day so they can start hyping the SECCG. The opponents might not matter in the end.

What’s dumb? Kent St should be a night game. It’s streaming only so ESPN could start that game at any time they want, no time slot.

I would love to see Leach’s Missy State beat Jimbo & Co. like a rented mule that afternoon.

Works for me. Petit le Mans is that day. We won’t see the end, but we’ll get to spend most of the day at the track and then come home for the Georgia game. The last few years we’ve played at 3:30 and it ends up bisecting our race watching.

Me’n my crew are going offshore out of Marathon on Oct 26th and, hopefully, inshore the 28th. I told em I was ok on a Saturday morning trip but had to be somewhere stable by 3pm!

I really like Marathon. Captain Dave Schugar of Sweet E’Nuf Charters limits us out. Last time we went down to 850’ and caught some delicious snapper and Mahis on the weed lines on the way out.
Great guy even though he is a gotdam hippie. Tight lines!

So that was with electric reels? My buddy, they Yak fisherman, doesn’t really want to do electric even though was as electric as you could get back in the day! We’re booked on The Main Attraction I for the offshore. I asked on “The Hull Truth” and they got stelar reviews.

Yes sir, electric reels and monster lead weights with lights. Not a lot of meat for your money. But a different experience.
Honestly, you can’t do any better than Main Attraction. I just like Captain Dave. All his equipment is new with the finest electronics. He benefited from great insurance after that last hurricane.

And speaking of night moves, ol Schug took us out at midnight consecutive years for July full moon mangrove snapper. We were limited out and home, catch cleaned by 0400.
          Good times!

Ha! Ever see “Night Moves” with Hackman as a Raiders linebacker turned private eye? It’s mostly set in the Keys and he was actually hit by a car down there while riding his bicycle at 81!

I’m a big fan of Hackman and I’ll keep my open for Night Moves.
I knew he got hit on his bike. That’s why I quit riding on highways. Didn’t like the odds.
When Hackman retired he was serious. Stayed retired.

Back before they changed the name Petit le Mans I was the honorary starter for that last race. Great weekend. I have the green flag somewhere around here that was signed by all the drivers.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to Road Atlanta. 1980 – 1981 I raced a EP Porsche Speedster and later (82 – 83) a CSR based on a March Formula 3 car with a Datsun motor. Fun times for sure then life happened 🙂

Why they want to do that to Drink? A liquored up Sanford crowd ain’t fair man.
