Turmoil… questions… excitement. In other words, just another week in the SEC.
- Alabama. If Metchie and Williams were playing, the TAMU game would have never been close.
- Georgia. Last season, Georgia’s defense gave up 10.2 points per game. This season, after all those departures to the NFL, the defense is giving up 10.7 points per game.
- Ole Miss. In case you’re wondering if Junior is still a dick, his team scored a touchdown with eighteen seconds left in the game, already up by seventeen, to cover the spread.
- Tennessee. Vol fans are the only people more excited about UT than the national media, which has a new shiny toy to play with this week.
- Mississippi State. It cracks me up watching a Mike Leach team dominate the time of possession stat.
- Texas A&M. Jesus, Jimbo, WTF was with that last playcall of the game?
- LSU. Got absolutely taken to the woodshed by Tennessee, which is not a thing I thought I’d type at the beginning of the season.
- Kentucky. Nothing like fumbling the ball on your opening play of the game and being down seven after thirteen seconds. It only got better with a blocked punt and clanked field goal attempt.
- Florida. Hard to believe, but the conference win over Mizzou was the Gators’ first in a year.
- South Carolina. Good conference road wins are good.
- Arkansas. Underwater in points margin, minus-2 in turnover margin. It’s starting to look like Sam Pittman’s magic may be running out this season.
- Auburn. It appears the Bryan Harsin Death Watch continues for at least another week.
- Missouri. They may be 0-3 in the league, but the Tigers are racking up the moral victories.
- Vanderbilt. Embarrassed Ole Miss for a half, which, I suppose, is progress of a sort.
Bama -7.5. O/U 65.5
Take?

If Bryce Young plays, Bama covers.

Yup. If he doesn’t then it could be a long day for them. I’m not sure if the UT Oline can hold up regardless though. A&M’s QB was under duress the entire night.

Hooker hasn’t had to deal with a defense that is solid at all 3 levels this year like Bama has. We know Tennessee’s defense is suspect.

I don’t know if Bama covers with Bryce, but without him I don’t think they win even though Jahmyr Gibbs is the best player in America not named Brock Bowers.

The Dawgs have a month to get their shit combobulated. They need to shut those inbred cunts in Knoxville the fuck up.
Never any doubt that Joey Freshwater is still a dick.

Jumbo’s biggest gaffe was not blowing up the officials for bleeding an extra 4-5 seconds after each play on their last drive.

My OFFICIAL top 5:
1) Vols — resume builders. Can they exorcise the Bama demon??
2) Dawgs — I’m taking the 42-10 & liking it.
3) Bama — should have two losses. Bama D is soft.
4) Ole Miss — I thought Vandy was going to take Ole Piss to the wood shed early, then Vandy showed up.
5) MissSt — I’m starting to think these 25 yr olds are for real.
6-14 — a HOT MESS!

How can you have the Vols over the Dawgs. What is their better win than ours?

LSU & Pitt road wins are impressive. Monkey off their back win v Fla was impressive. Offense is smooth & consistent. Defense is adequate. Vols have been most consistent thus far. I think they have enough to beat Bama.

Hmm. I guess you are giving Pitt and LSU more credit than I would. We annihilated the top 12 team in the land. Pitt took them to overtime and should have won. LSU is just a bad team. I guess we will see.

They’ve had tremendous luck thus far with injuries to opposing QBs (remember that Jaden Daniels was banged up Saturday too), and it looks like that’s continuing this week.

The same Pitt that lost to coachless Georgia Tech?
The LSU win is impressive. The Florida win was good. That’s about it for me with Tennessee. But I also think they’re easily the third best team in the conference.

Pitt took the vols to the wire and then lost to tech. Just not that impressed.

Pitt took the Vowels to OT down their starting QB and the backup on one leg. UT defense has issues.
Pitt let UT beat them twice in reference to the Tech loss.

I love all the national hype for Tennessee. If they can win this week, all the better; but y’all. What’s their best win? I’mma hang up and lissen’

I would say either UF or LSU, clearly. But if I were pressed I would say LSU. Road game, hostile-ish environment (I swear I heard Rotten Crotch and the UT crowd far more loudly than I would have expected), 11 AM start. Jumped on them quickly. LSU made a couple of special teams mistakes early but give UT credit since they made them pay and it was never a game halfway after the first quarter. And Hooker played a great game with nearly 240 yards passing and 2 TDs and no interceptions with a respectable 63% completion percentage (and 10 carries for nearly 60 yards). And throw in a team total of nearly 260 yards of rushing. UT is a dangerous team. They aren’t 2021 Georgia dangerous, obviously. But if their offense is rolling and their defense plays even a moderately decent game Bama is going to have all they want this Saturday.

Man, I sure would’ve loved to have caught LSU in a place they’re at now and not twice while they had freaking Joe Burrow.

I just can’t get over the fact they gave 453 passing yards to Anthony Richardson. If Bryce is even relatively healthy I have to assume he’s lighting them up.

I mean, they’re sort of high rent Ole Miss at the moment, ain’t they?

Auburn had no business scoring any points on Saturday.

LSU muffed the opening kickoff to give TN an early lead.
It went downhill for the Tigers after that.
While Tennessee certainly had the better team the lopsided score is an anomaly.

Auburn is B-A-D… I think I would put Mizzou in front of them. They had a real shot at beating them in the Swamp. If they had been at home, I think they win the game.
Still trying to figure out how Kentucky lost at home. At home!
UTjr. – to their credit, they took advantage of LSU mistakes and out played them on special teams and put them away pretty early. That’s what good teams do.
With the above paragraph in mind, they still haven’t played aa good team. We find out if that team is for real or not this week. They have not played a good team all season. Not one.

Agree about Auburn, even to the point that I would rank them dead last.

Auburn really is awful. Even when we were dicking around in the first half, it never felt like they were any threat whatsoever to make us pay. The 2012 team in Gene Chizik’s lame-duck season is the only other Auburn team I can remember that’s as toothless as this year’s version.

The only problem with The Pirate is that his teams are capable of losing a game they shouldn’t. It one of his quirks.

Whoa…some dawggrading there Senator. Bama with 2 squeakers while we win comfortably as reigning NC should have us at #1. We have injured players too. Time for Junior to step up and we need to TCOB vs gators and UT. Wonder if Kirby will throw the Miss St game…we’ll have the East locked up and strategy has worked every season. 😉

Bryan Harsin is already fired, and if the collapse against LSU didn’t lock that up then the loss Saturday between the hedges did. It’s just that Auburn doesn’t love Harsin as much as Nebraska loves Scott Frost so A) the Yella Fella isn’t interested in spending any more of the lumber money than is absolutely necessary to make him go away, even if it means sitting through six more games of this and B) Auburn doesn’t need to worry about Harsin possibly saving his job because this is the worst Auburn football team I’ve ever seen and even if they somehow beat Alabama I think the majority of fans will still be happy to drive him to the airport after the game.

I think the “Powers that Be” at Auburn are just trying to embarrass him by making him finish the season. His press conferences are painful to watch. Even the Alabama press has started to throw him soft balls due to his position. It’s like making fun of a condemned man on the hangman’s scaffolding.
You know how this story is going to end but Auburn is just going to let him twist in the wind.

Damn right about Mizzou!!
Three participation trophies for moral victories is no small feat!!
Keep up the good work boys!!
And,
the bluepussycats had the yard chickens at home and lost!!
Karma for the Youngstown yankee carpetbagger for calling a time out with 4 seconds left to score a meaningless touchdown after spending 11 minutes to drive the ball on UGAs third and fourth string defense.
