Take your moral victory and shove it.

This may be the first time ever I’ve respected Lane Kiffin as a coach.

LK is right on the money.
Josh Heupel is the biggest asshole coach in the SEC as of today.

When does Lane get hired as Bama’s next HC?

  3. Honestly, I was more worried about a possible Ole Miss matchup in the SECCG than LSU. If he does take the reigns at Alabama when Saban leaves, color me worried. How LSU is the SEC West champion right now after losing to FSU and narrowly escaping Arky is a shock to me. Kelly is trash.

Lane has matured and doesn’t take himself ti seriously any more. I use to really hate him but now find him entertaining. His wit and trolls on twitter are great!

Laner tried his best to not get Geoff Collins fired, I’ll always thank him for the attempt.

If Lane had taken the FG on the first trip in to the red zone instead of “the analytics say” they would have only needed a FG at the end of the game to tie. In OT they stand as good a chance as Bama.

Hindsight and all. The fumble right before the half was the turning point.

It was a turning point for sure, but it was not the result of a decision that Kiffin made. Failing to take the 3 was. Take those early points. Instead, they gave Bama a “moral victory” by stopping them.

And the 4th down call was a real head-scratcher too. A run right up the gun when your QB had been stretching the field with his arm and legs all series thus far? I couldn’t believe it.

If Lane doesn’t inexplicably take the ball out of his best player’s hands with 4 straight pass calls, he probably wins the game.

I’ve always considered Kiffin kind of a goof as a head coach, but I have to admit he is growing on me. I have to say that was a great response to that question, and it probably says more about his future success with Ole Miss (or Auburn?) than anything else. He is a little too wed to analytics at this point but if he adjusts to playing to win, he will be a challenge to everyone in the future.

Finally the reason of truth rings true. When your coach comes to the point at the get go you gotta love it. Oh and Heuphl is an asshole.

  11. Ehhh…I thought his play calling was atrocious, especially at the end. Bama kept a spy in the middle on Dart and that poor kid was getting hammered. Game was there to win and it’s almost like Lane lost on purpose to not upset granddad. Somebody desperately wants that job.

There’s a shot circulating on Twitter I’m too lazy to find of a Bama defensive player literally shoving Dart’s face into the dirt. Bama is a dirty, undisciplined team and is lucky they don’t have 4 losses. I know their fans want to fire both coordinators but this team’s issues are Saban’s fault above everyone.

Lane’s playcalling at the end of the game might be even worse than Bobo not giving it to Gurley on the goal against USC jr. I’m still pissed about it because he had a golden opportunity to beat Bama and blew it.

In his defense, the QB draw he called on first down (I think it was first) was there if the guard gets any kind of block on the defensive tackle. Having Dart throw every down after that was puzzling, though.
