    They’re gonna be a handful.

I agree with you. Young teams play up and down just like they have. We’ll get the version that beat Bama so we’d better be ready. If we play them like we did Tennessee or Oregon, we’ll be fine.

The Tigers are looking to redeem themselves after an embarrassing, lackluster performance against aTM. Kelly will absolutely have them ready.

Redemption is one thing, thinking/praying you can win is another, playing against an opponent that is on a mission with focus plus scheme, is something lsu can’t/won’t/haven’t done for 60 minutes…GO DAWGS!

I’m sure the Dawgs are taking this game seriously. In the end it will be just like the vols game with Kirby Manballing the clock out.

We really SHOULD be able to RTDB in this bunch, but that QB is a baller.
Take away the run and make this dude nervous in the pocket. Jalen needs to ball out. I don’t want to have to depend on Chambliss to contain; I like the kid but he looks lost out there. Has he become a liability?

  4. I respect that attitude that this is LSU’s national championship…exactly the way they should approach it.

On the flip side, I think the Dawgs are done sleepwalking…all of our men execute…special teams/offense/defense…the elite swagger returns this Sat in Atlanta

Agreed. That extra gear where we execute with ruthless efficiency hasn’t been reached yet. Not for every game, at least. That’ll be the determining factor as to whether or not we replace Bama at the top of the CFP food chain.

This is starting to have a ā€œVols by fiddyā€ quality to it.

Why are we so sure we will get the best version of LSU possible but will get a lesser version of Georgia? I don’t buy it.

  7. Don’t worry folks. I’m smoking a boston butt Saturday instead of a brisket. I cooked brisket last year and Bama blew us out. I won’t make that mistake again.

  8. LSU will have to cash in on multiple turnovers AND one or two explosive/successful trick plays in order to win this one.

    Possible? Yes. Probable? No.

Gotta admit, I’ve got 2005 feelings about this game. There’s a team with something to prove and a team with national title hopes, and that game went the way of the team with something to prove.

Anyway, I hope the dawgs pull it off because it’s been way too long since we’ve been SEC champs.

But neither is being coached by Les Miles.

I don’t think that you can beat this Georgia team without a qb who can consistently make plays from the pocket. I don’t know that they have that.

’05 LSU’s national title hopes, such as they were, depended on USC or Texas losing in the final week, which wasn’t going to happen.

Ah, that’s right! I’d forgotten about that. I was away in grad school that year and barely have any recollection of UGA football from about 04-06.

  10. Are the Corn Dogs better than Tooth Nation? The Death Valley scoreboard says no. They got their pants pulled down in College Station on Saturday night by a team with literally nothing to play for.

If we arrive in Atlanta with the mentality of the Oregon, Tennessee, Florida (3 quarters), and Auburn games, we will win.

My 6-5, 275 Coon Ass cyclops golf buddy has been awful quiet this week. He’s usually brash, cocky & confident in his Bayou Bengals. He knows an ass whipping cometh….and so do I. It won’t even be close. Kirby has made mention too many times that THIS team wants a SEC title badly. Wants to separate itself from 2021 team. This one could be ugly!!

I expect this to get sporty. Try-hard MF’ers with nothing to lose vs. a team that’s spent the whole season on a pedestal and has everything to lose. Kelly’s players generally play hard for him. Hope we’re ready to hunt.

Also, Kirby’s bitch-slapped Kelly at TD-Jesus and Sanford. Kelly wants this one to help even the score. We need to hammer down and keep scoring until the final whistle.

Hopefully that means they have our team’s full attention.

We’ve seen what happens to teams that have this young Dawgs team’s full attention.

I can see even Kirby having some trouble getting the number one ranked team up for games against Missouri and Kenturkey but just seeing those LSU uniforms should piss our players off.

I think that’s been the underreported story of the 2022 season for UGA.

Despite Kirby’s platitudes, we are definitely the hunted. Everyone on our schedule sees ā€œdefending national championsā€ and circles it during winter workouts.

    Including Michigan…

Every time this year I’ve expected the dawgs to just open a can of whoop ass they’ve fucked around (hello mizzou and ā€œwe got something to prove after the lackluster showing against Kent state!ā€). So I’m not gonna say I expect the dawgs to open a can of whoop ass, especially after the very meh performances against Kentucky and tech but IF, IF, they did or even if did like they did against Auburn where they played ā€œsloppyā€ ( by what they could have done anyways) and still cover a sizable spread, I wouldn’t be shocked

Their last 2 games they were pretty bad. Maybe especially Arkansas. 13 to 10 with K J Jefferson out? His absence made a difference.

I am always concerned before a big game and this one is no exception. But I think we have the better team and Daniel’s mobility may be down with his ankle issue.

Just looking at the facts realistically we should win comfortably.
