As we all know this award is a shell of itself but like you all, I am VERY happy that SBIV is in the mix. He should win it by all rights, but there are other players on our team that could/should be there too. There are players on other teams’ that have a legit claim too. This season has been unique, lotta kids balling out on both sides of the ball.

Yeah, Chaney was a real boat anchor around that 2017 O. However, there’s absolutely no doubting that Monken is Kirby’s best OC. Hope he continues to value sustained winning, world class facilities and community quality of life over another go at the stress sandwich of the HC life.

Three years ago the odds on a bet on Stetson winning the Heisman would have been something like 100,000 to 1. I never thought Stetson would even be a starter and how wrong was I and everybody else. Stetson is a DGD and, when we win this Natty, his number should be retired. Congratulations to SBIV! Bring it home again!

I don’t know how Trippi, Rauch, Bratkowski, or Tarkington finished in the Heisman vote. I do recall Ray Goff finishing 7th in the Heisman vote in 1976 and no Georgia QB finishing higher since.
My response to the news is, “Georgia won’t have a top 4 Heisman candidate with Bennett at QB!”

Jesus, what a douche. Way to go Stetson and UGA. I’m sure Caleb Williams will win as this year’s version of Ty Detmer or Andr Ware but that doesn’t take away from this accomplishment for Stetson. That kids got a lot of faith in himself and isn’t swayed by what others think. He’s a DGD of the top order.

Congratulations to Mr. Stetson Bennett IV! Stet won me over early last year and I caught some shit for it here. But to be honest, I never dreamed he would rise to these heights. But there was one guy here who was saying Stetson was the best QB on the team before the 2019 season. If you are reading this, step up and take a bow.

The Heisman Memorial trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability, combined with diligence, perseverance and hard work.
It’s a shame that award has lost its true meaning.
