Stat of the day

Georgia’s defense sure finished with a bang.

Quentin Johnston had one catch for three yards on the night.

And to think I’m old enough to remember when folks were crapping on those guys…

Quote from Twitter: UGA committed a murder in the first half. In the second half, they desecrated the corpse.

The 2021 defense showed up to play with the 2022 offense. The result: a beat down the likes of which will never again be seen in a title game.

  3. Max Duggan is probably in an ice bath this morning. We beat him to a pulp. As the game wore on, you could tell he was looking at the rush first rather than down the field.

OTOH, SBIV was playing dealer’s choice for most of the night from a clean pocket.

Lines of scrimmage, folks. That’s the difference in this team now over 10 years ago (meaning 2012).

Stetson needs to take his o line to fogo de chao in Atlanta after last night because I don’t think tcu got a hand on him

Duggan was looking at the rush when they still had a chance. Johnston was wide open on Bullard’s first pick and Duggan threw it well out of his reach. Herbstreit noted that he thought JDJ’s rush caused the overthrow; crazy, though, because JDJ wasn’t really that close to Duggan.

    • Yeah, they could not block us and TCU had one of the better OLs. We didn’t just out-talent them, either. Great gameplan, too.

Haven’t seen a QB become that sacred of a defense since the 08 Sugar Bowl against Hawaii.

Since we won big (and because he had two picks) I hope everyone on the team is giving Bullard shit about being reason we didn’t get a shut out.

  6. So many guys out or really banged up but it wasn’t even evident last night. You’ve basically got 2 plays from a NC game where Kirby can say we need to get better.

The rotation and depth of this program off the charts. You’ve got playmakers who basically only play in the big games and still go 15-0.

Bear and Mykell Williams put folks on notice last night.

And all the talking heads pregame were saying he would be the best guy on the field. Insane.

Their best receiver had as many tackles as receptions.

This game turned when: TCU had a false start before the opening snap

  10. Did anybody snap a picture of Mike Adams in his parking lot attendant scooter patrolling illegal tailgating and stewing about our program’s success?

I wish we could play Al. next week just for fun. Just to see what would happen. It does not have to count lets just play one more game.

  12. A 400 yard difference in total offense … the previous record was just below 300.

Total domination on both sides of the ball.

That guy needs an asterisk instead of a blue check next to his name.

One blown coverage and other than that, the defense played like a group of attack dogs. I didn’t see one missed tackle. They were magnificent. Amazing performance.
