“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

Watching on TV. I want Stetson’s sweater. Love it. Simple, 80’s-style.

Always forget the Cuyler part.

Well before that. In the 70’s, when “How ‘Bout Them Dawgs!” first came into general use, the response was “Them Dawgs Is Hell”.

If you went last year it would be a real struggle to do it again. It’s just not that interesting the second time around (I’m juts talking about the “celebration”. Stet was obviously bored with it and, since they didn’t have a camera in everyone else’s face, who knows how the rest of the team felt.

My wife doesn’t know her tits from her elbows. But she knows people….”why was Stetson such a a-Hole during the parade with no emotion and his head buried in phone”. And we were up near butt mehre. I can’t speak for the rest of the ride down Lumpkin.

The cold may have something to do with less enthusiasm if in fact that was the case.

And, again, if you went last year a bunch of speeches and a slow walkin parade just aren’t exactly exciting. It’s hard to follow Jordan Davis. I decided not to go and when I watched I thought to myself “good choice”. Of course I was at the game and it wasn’t as compelling as last year even though I had a great time.

I’m a little disappointed that Stetson chose to grind his axe in his last big moment as a Dawg when everyone showed up to celebrate him and his team’s accomplishments.

There was a point in the Dawg Walk where he had a prop axe and I think it was the “keep choppin” deal.

He took a moment to address the fact that even with static from the outside, they went undefeated and it still wasn’t enough to put away the haters.

He said things like “all y’all doubted us but we did it anyway.” Hard to tell if he was talking about the media or fans or what. Yeah, kind of weird, but he has his quirks and we love him anyway.

I definitely think it was directed at the media. He was said to have been incredibly accommodating to fans before and during the parade.

It was definitely directed at the media. He was responding to a direct question from DJ as a media member (I don’t think it was directed at him personally). Kirby even mentioned that everyone in the media including Pollack questioned us.
There was a theme throughout the celebration that we did this even though the doubters were there throughout.
I even saw some Bammer yesterday on social media who claimed Ohio State as the true national champion. The Bammer tears have gotten saltier and tastier.

Like it or not, Bennett went through hell. The fanbase roasted him all last season. It was unbearable after the loss to Alabama. Then people said we couldn’t win with him this season and people complained every time the team faced any adversity.
Hopefully the fans learn a lesson from this whole thing because too many of them embarrassed themselves with how he was treated.

I’ve noticed that ESPN shows are saying that this is UGA’s 3rd Natty. I guess they’re not counting the 1942 one that UGA started counting in the late 80’s or early 90’s (On the NCAA.com page, they say that Ohio State won the 1942 Natty (AP)). I say do as most other schools do and count ’em all! That would break StingTalk since it would outdo Tech’s 4 (the NCAA site only shows that they have 3)! Tennessee claims 6, but they only show 2 on the NCAA web site. We’d have 8 Natty’s (1920, 1927, 1942, 1946, 1968, 1980, 2021, 2022) that would prove that our football history began long before 1980. It’s the college way (but apparently not the “Georgia Way”).

I think Stetson said fuck his UGA legacy yesterday. I saw a lot of disappointed kids and adults get ignored by him during the parade. The guy has his face buried in his phone during the parade, or at least the entire time he was within eyesight of us. Didn’t acknowledge anyone. I was less turned off by what he said but others clearly didn’t take it so lightly.
That’s 2 years now when a large portion of the team didn’t interact with fans. Maybe ask who actually wants to be there or maybe don’t have a parade again.

Maybe he was catching up on all that media/fanbase shit talking that went on when he only had a flip phone..
