Maybe tomorrow

Well, this should be awkward for some folks…

Why do I have the feeling Fox wasn’t going to let ESPN get a win here?

Even though it’s about $$$$$, the addition, will be more of taking an unwanted girlfriend to homecoming, vs the prom queens sister, who made the prom queen look ugly….

I said: “I know it dad, ain’t she cool, that’s the kind I dig”

Texas saw that trip to UH and really started sweating it. Just wait until they have to go to Starkville every year. LOL.

i would be in favor of just cutting Texas and OU loose now. Who needs them? They’re basically telling me “Sure, we are going to wreck the thing that made the SEC special, regional rivalries, by adding two teams that nobody except TAMU cares about at all, but hey, bigger tv deal!” I bet TAMU doesnt even want Texas in the SEC, partly because Texas has wrecked every conference it’s been in for the last 60 years. Do I care about losing the annual UGA/AU game, or the semi annual trip to Nashville, so we can play in places like College Station or Starkville or Fayetteville more often? Uh, NO. Truth be told, I would be happy to cut TAMU and Missouri loose, too.

Head, meet nail. I was told that TAMU and Missouri would blend in over time. No. They’ve both been in the league for more than a decade now and still feel like B12 teams to me. It still doesn’t feel like a real “conference game” when we play them. Hell we still haven’t even played at Kyle field. Send em all to the Big10 so they can be the Big20 and have more teams to send to the Playoff to get their asses kicked by the SEC.

I’m on record early saying this would eventually bite us in the ass. These 2 schools are a clown show of egos, especially Texas. This is just the beginning. They already wrecked our 2023 schedule for no reason. I expect Texas to cause constant problems for the SEC once they come on board. Ultimately they need us more than we need them. But at the end of the day, more money is all that matters.

  8. Yet another glaring sign that those two programs shouldn’t be in the SEC. All involved parties have now had more than one opportunity to call it.

Texas and Oklahoma have managed to nearly alienate themselves from both conferences. I’ll never understand announcing that you’re leaving when you aren’t actually ready.
