I bet the selection committee will think more highly of Ohio State this week than we do.  But I think it’s kind of neat the way the vote on two Big 12 teams came out.

Really, not much to question there. I don’t know about you, but it took me less than ten minutes to put my ballot together this week. Even Archie Manning could handle that, I think.

I”m going to be kind and assume the Mizzou vote was a mistake.

Other than that, not too many surprises.  We’re a little more down on Michigan State than the pollsters, and little bit higher on Georgia (surprise!).

My Mumme Poll ballot, Week 7

I am trying very hard to avoid the appearance of being a homer this week. But consider what’s on Georgia’s resume at this point:

• Second in the conference in scoring offense (8th nationally);
• Third in the conference in scoring defense (13th nationally);
• Two wins against ranked opponents (only Mississippi State has more); and
• A 5-1 record against Sagarin’s 23rd ranked schedule.

Were this any other team’s in the country, I wouldn’t be fighting that.  Which means…
