Just a reminder: somebody thought this was important.

If, like me, you use Twitter to keep abreast of what’s happening in college football, then, if you’re not careful, things are going to get a lot messier starting today.

Yes, coaches can now retweet every social media twitch an eighteen-year old feels the need to share with the world.  What a time to be alive!

Senator, you and your fellow government types started all this with that 1st Amendment thing years ago. If God had meant for us to let everyone else know what we were thinking, He would have given us wives.

Man, would I hate being a coach having to recruit nowadays. Wouldn’t surprise me if at some point we have an “Internet coordinator” whose job it is to follow recruits on Twitter and retweet, etc.

By the way, I hate Twitter.

And you just know that Alabama will hire 4 full time re-tweeters, to work in Saban’s name and stead, lest a prospect feel neglected that his tweets are being ignored.

Just a reminder that for any coaches you follow you can turn off retweets, so they don’t show up in your timeline.

That explains a lot. I’ve seen some stuff pop up in my social media feed retweeted by coaches and I was wondering how it was legal. Now I know.

Your board is the only place I see “tweets”, I see zero benefit in this public texting…y’all can have it.

  10. Now that this is a thing, Bert (yes, THAT Bert) is blowing up my Twitter timeline today.

PSA – if a coach you follow is blowing up your Twitter timeline with ALL OF THE RETWEETS, just navigate to said coach’s profile, click the settings gear, and click ‘Turn off Retweets’ from the pulldown menu.
