  1. I admit I expected both games to be at noon. UT Martin at 6 isn’t awful unless you planned to bring young children to the game.

Noon kickoffs in September in Georgia heat? Better to watch on TV than to experience heat stroke.

I will not complain, the way we are performing.
Hell, they can kick off at 8am & we will kick the shit out of whoever the hell it is.

To borrow from Mark Richt at that 2002 Clemson game, “you can get hot after the game.”

Back to back defending CFP champions open on streaming networks. When is the last time a defending champion opened the season not being broadcast on cable or over the air networks?

Streaming is still a relatively new thing but this is completely schedule driven. Over the last 10 years the defending national champion has opened with:

      UGA vs Oregon
      Bama vs Miami
LSU vs Miss St (COVID) – game played on 9/26
      Clemson vs GA Tech (Thur)
      Bama vs Louisville
      Clemson vs Kent St
      Bama vs USC
      Ohio St vs Virginia Tech
      Florida St vs Oklahoma St
      Bama vs Virginia Tech

Only one school was outside the Power 5. All games were broadcast on ABC, ESPN or CBS. The only defending champion to lose was LSU.

In September I blame the temps on Stephanie Abrams of the Weather Channel being she is a Florida Gator. She has her finger on the natural weather button for Georgia.
