Stat of the season

Okay, new quarterback, new offensive coordinator… who saw this coming back in August?

72.4 – Beck finishes the season with a 72.4 completion percentage, which is now a school record, passing the 68.3 percentage that Stetson Bennett set last season.

I sure didn’t.  I guess it’s one more thing we can blame Bobo for.

  1. And as Jesse Palmer pointed out during the Orange Bowl, Beck wasn’t part of a West Coast-style offense with a lot of high-percentage dink-and-dunk passes. He threw a lot of long bombs, and he hit them more often than not. Thrilled he’s coming back for another year.

This off season Beck and Bobo should focus on handoffs. That should be a 100 % completion percentage.

    Beck coming back is huge.

The progress over the season was very noticeable. Early it was lots of short passes then the few deep passes were flat low percentage throws. By seasons end he was deadly accurate all over the field. A real tribute to hard work and very good coaching. There’s no other returning QB I would want for next season.

Only real question for the UGA football “OC”, does he return with the unused, uneaten crayons from this season or go for a new 64 piece collection with a elevated sharpening device in 2024…GO DAWGS!!

The only negative thing that I’ll say about Beck is that he was fortunate on several throws this year that should have been picked (2 in the Orange Bowl). I am very glad that he’s coming back. Bobo had a great year, minus the play calling in the SECCG (after the 1st drive).

Eli Manning was asked about the worst interception thst he had ever thrown.
His response, ” I don’t ever remember throwing an interception. ”
You never miss the shots you don’t take.

That one ball he threw that was nearly intercepted over the middle looked funky. It was wobbly the entire way in the air. I couldn’t tell if someone got a hand on it or it just slipped when he threw it.

That can be said about any QB that plays a season. They all get lucky and unlucky on a few plays every game.

I don’t know how Dillon Bell caught a couple of those passes. He was covered like a blanket.

He is one of the best surprises of the season. Love the fight for the ball in Bell. It’s something the WR room has been missing since 5 left town.

If Bobo wasn’t calling plays from a spreadsheet (whatever the hell that means) imagine how good Beck would have been.

Well looks like Mike learned from the Master since Monken has made an MVP out the Raven’s QB.

As we speak, it’s another 3rd down sweep for a loss! Sure, great stats all year. Oh look! Another 3rd down sweep for a loss . . .

There is 4:41 left in the 3rd quarter and Alabama may still win but does either team look better than UGA?

It is clear Carson Beck is better than JJ McCarthy. Michan’s defensive line is good. Our offense is better than Michigan’s.

It appears that Tommy Reese called that fourth and goal play from a spreadsheet.

I am happy for Michigan because I hate Alabama and The Ohio State University (and I thought about going to law school at Michigan) . There are few teams I hate m9re than Alabama. Texas comes close.

UGA is better than both of the Rose Bowl teams.

Just the fact that Washington thinks they are “Dawgs” is enough to make me pull for Texas.

    Good.

Definitely hurts that the three-peat was absolutely there for the taking. 😦

Oh well. Some alternate universe has a lot of really happy Dawg fans. Good for them! 🙂

Maybe he can focus on QBs exclusively and we can give the play calling duties to someone less stubborn in crunch time.
