Corch Meyers gets hit with a $30,000 fine for whining about the hit to Tim Tebow last Saturday. There’s no truth to the rumor that he decided that the fine was inadequate and doubled the amount. Or that the Gators have already made poster-sized copies of the check and put them in the weight room as motivation for next year’s game with Georgia.
Let’s hope the SEC uses the money to establish an Officials Training Fund.

I think the corch’s criticism was fine. Further, Nick Williams should be suspended a game for idiocy. It wasn’t going to hurt Tebow, but man was it stupid.

It’s a dark and stormy Friday afternoon somewhere. Urban has just received word that Slive fined his ass $30k for complaining about somebody hitting Tebow and not getting imprisoned for it. Between that and Spikes getting busted trying to gouge Ealey’s eyes out and Lane giving him sh!t again, it’s been a tougher than usual week for Urban but it’s only Vandy, so what.
To unwind, Urban calls his neighbor Billy D. in Haile Plantation to see if Billy can come out and play. Billy’s wife answers, tells Urban no and to stop calling.
Urban points and stares at Billy D.’s house. From the upstairs window, Billy D. waves to him. Urban thinks Billy D. must be on restriction for something like not winning the national title or something. Urban goes ahead and tightly fastens the chinstrap on his bicycle helmet, takes his Schwinn out, begins pedaling around. As Urban pedals around the toney subdivision he thinks about what went on this week this is what he sees…

Urban took Slive’s call about the fine, and as the conversation wound down, UM asked Mike to hold for a minute…then came back on the line to be sure Slive was still there, then put him on hold again. To Slive’s credit, he vowed to wear his black pants and top hat next time he call UM.

Think about it. How clever is Corch Meyer. His team has been getting the benefit of bad calls all year (maybe longer) and probably won at least one game (maybe 2) because of that, yet he makes it seem that he and the Gators are victims of bad refereeing with the late hit complaint and fine. In one swoop he has managed to turn the tables on every team in the SEC that has a legitimate complaint about the bad referees and make it look to the outside world that the Gators are getting jobbed, too. I don’t know if he did this on purpose (I suspect he did) or if its just luck but damn it, things always seem to work out for the Gators.

Urban makes it seem like we are victims of bad refereeing? He was ASKED about the LATE HIT on TEBOW. HE RESPONED BY SAYING YEAH, THE REFS DID WELL BUT THEY MISSED THAT ONE.
HE WAS ASKED A QUESTION AND ANSWERED THE SAME THING ANY LOGICAL PERSON WOULD SAY.

I saw a comment somewhere to the effect that Meyer should ask Pat Dooley to pay half of the fine, since Dooley asked the question that started this.
Dooley’s such an ass-kisser that he’s probably already volunteered to pony up. 😉

While not actually coming out and saying UM did it on purpose, Gary Danielson said during the telecast of the LSU-BAMA game that Corch’s saying what he said and getting fined had the effect of taking Spikes off the hot seat publicity-wise for gouging Ealey’s eyes. Hey Fakist, why don’t you e-mail Gary Danielson and tell him what a dope he is.
